I wouldnt recomend Turbo charging your stock Lancer engine. The project works out to almost as expensive if not more than an engine swap. Reliability wise it's a nightmare (turbo charging), because of the fact that we do not have the right kind of tuning hardware at our disposal.

To be honest I had turbo charged my stock Lancer engine before the transplant. Trust me, I am a happier man now and get to use the car more often than not.

Going 4G63 (EVO) is the ultimate rush. But if you want to go 4WD there there will be some amount of modification required to the chasis.

End of the day - It's your car and your money. You have the option of spending sensibly and enjoying the result or spending rashly, thinking that you are going to end up with a bomb of a car in terms of power, and end up regretting that you even thought of modifying your car. Whatever you do, research the subject well. Many people will claim many things, but it aint as easy as it sounds and it aint as good as it looks.

Like I have said before, if you need help, I am available.

Anyone having a MIVEC 1.6 engine for sale ?? Including the rotors, struts, wiring etc. The whole hog. Contemplating a swap, provided some stuff is available at the right price & in a good condition.

Cheers

so what happened did you get the engine swap or the turbo install?
i think it would be really smart if you just went and brought and already swaped lancer,VERY cost effective
