Chrome Plating - Let 'em shine!

Opened this thread as a source for contact details of workshops involved in chrome plating. The thread will be useful for motorcyclists and vintage car restorers.

Need to get a few stuff chrome plated. Also, V12 needs to chrome plate his rear mudguard. He maintains that the result should be as good if not better than the chrome quality of the Machismo's front mudguard.

Please post in addresses and phone numbers of people who can provide high quality chrome plating.

Leepower,
There is one guy in MIDC bosari, he has customers even from Mumbai for vintage cars. At the very of Telco road near Shivaji Maharaj staue you have to take a left. Take the street on the right side, just before one co-operative bank. Dunno his name or mobile no, but can guide you on phone.

Vijaylakshmi Chrome Platers off Tannery Road-near ORR. Used to be the best in the business when I'd last checked some 2 years ago. Its on a right-turn after a masjid. Dont remember exact details now.

Re: Chrome Plating - Let 'em shine!

Pune:Chromeplating workshop in Warje close to the NH4 overbridge. I got my RX100 and 135 plating done from there. Couple of other BHPians have got it done there as well. Costs under 2K for plating the regular parts and visible sundry nuts/bolts of 100/135. I don't recollect the shop name but the owner's son name is Swapnil. PM me if you need contact details.

They are still the best in town and people who have been there swear by the quality of work done. Most of the RE mech's recommend this place for chrome work.

Re: Chrome Plating - Let 'em shine!

Dear all - in Mumbai, as you come from Lalbaug towards Parel, the point where the Hindmata bridge ends, there is still one shop called "Kadam". I used to get my work done from him. The guy is always covered in grime. I have not been there for quite some time. I don't know if he is still there. There used to be a shop just after the JJ hospital signal as you go towards CST.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar
