My current vehicle is a testbed to 3 combinations currently.
->2 Layers of TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax(Bonnet and Fenders)
->1 layer TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax TOPPED with Sonax BSD(1:2) (Right Side +Half Dicky)
->1 layer TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax TOPPED with Carpro Hydr02 (Left Side +Half Dicky)
Odo Reading 12605 when the vehicle was first taken out after the above detailing. Let's see which combination stays the most. | Update after 692 Km+3 months+4 Full washes(Current ODO is 13297)

Today i washed the vehicle and realised it's been exactly 3 months since the wax was applied so thought of updating the thread.
1 The Wax is still holding off on the fenders but the degradation is noticeable
2.The Biggest hit I observed is on the Bonnet where it has worn off the most.
3. Sonax BSD is also starting to show signs of degradation
4.Carpro Hydr02 is holding better than BSD.
5.The shine is still there but has reduced a bit.
Let the clips and photos do the talking. There are multiple clips all combined into 1 video for a better understanding
Interesting observation

2 coats of wax were applied after a curing time of >24 hours on the Bonnet and on the side fenders. Interestingly the wax is still holding up better than on the bonnet. Not sure if it's due to the locations where the bonnet gets hit hard the most with dirt and debris.
The same was observed with Sonax BSD and Carpro Hydro2 where the vertical panels below the mirrors are beading much better than the panel above just below the glass. |
