Re: Turtle Wax (Ceramic + Graphene) Paste Wax | Reliving the waxing nostalgia again

I see, I was following the instructions where it said to dry the car. My bottle is only 25% used. Guess I love the BSD more :P. Also, that is some serious shine.

I'm waiting for your results. The monsoon is going to be an ideal test, unless there is more lockdown

I was wondering if someone on the forum would have done that can share their observations.
For me, I am already loaded with the existing stock of products that the BSD VS TW S&S testing might not happen in near future. That's why I asked any takers

Re: Turtle Wax (Ceramic + Graphene) Paste Wax | Reliving the waxing nostalgia again

I've a whole bunch of waxes, sealants, sprays and what not that I impulse bought when I had that crazy detailing fever after watching a lot of videos on youtube. Now that I'm back to normal, I experiment less . I know I've applied BSD on one panel and TW SnS on other, but forgot which one was applied where..

Then that's the perfect time to apply them again and share your observations this time.
I agree with detailing most of the purchases are impulsive in nature. By the time one gets to senses and realises that the current stock is not going to end anytime soon it's too late. Finally, you end up staring at them and wonder how come you collected so much stuff without a thought.I call it "Detailing kick Syndrome" And most of us are guilty of that.

My current vehicle is a testbed to 3 combinations currently.

->2 Layers of TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax(Bonnet and Fenders)
->1 layer TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax TOPPED with Sonax BSD(1:2) (Right Side +Half Dicky)
->1 layer TW Ceramic+Graphene Paste Wax TOPPED with Carpro Hydr02 (Left Side +Half Dicky)

Odo Reading 12605 when the vehicle was first taken out after the above detailing. Let's see which combination stays the most.
Update after 692 Km+3 months+4 Full washes(Current ODO is 13297)
************************************************** ****

Today i washed the vehicle and realised it's been exactly 3 months since the wax was applied so thought of updating the thread.

1 The Wax is still holding off on the fenders but the degradation is noticeable
2.The Biggest hit I observed is on the Bonnet where it has worn off the most.
3. Sonax BSD is also starting to show signs of degradation
4.Carpro Hydr02 is holding better than BSD.
5.The shine is still there but has reduced a bit.

Let the clips and photos do the talking. There are multiple clips all combined into 1 video for a better understanding

Interesting observation
**********************
2 coats of wax were applied after a curing time of >24 hours on the Bonnet and on the side fenders. Interestingly the wax is still holding up better than on the bonnet. Not sure if it's due to the locations where the bonnet gets hit hard the most with dirt and debris.
The same was observed with Sonax BSD and Carpro Hydro2 where the vertical panels below the mirrors are beading much better than the panel above just below the glass.
