MOMO Rims ???

Where are MOMO Wheels made ??

The company is very much Italian, but the rims I say were made in China, so are the rims made in China ??
These rims were much heavier than an average League which was of the same size. Then if they are original what's all the fuss about ?
Or these are spurious ones ??

I think they are fake as the design is not matching with the rim on the BMW...and the outer lip is also not the same design as in the original....Ishan and Kp will clear tell the difference...

A lot of things are being outsourced to China.. As long as the manufacturer has the copyrights from Momo i dont think it can be called a fake.

@LBM "I think they are fake as the design is not matching with the rim on the BMW"
I think that the rims design differ from size to size.. The one that blueraven shows looks to be 16" and the beemer must be having atleast 18". There are bound to be differences in size ratios.

Ok, I don't think they are the real deal. OZ makes them only in Italy, and I assume Momo would follow suit. And from what I can tell, the designs vary slightly between the pics. And I can't find a 4 lug Momo GTR anywhere.

Godfather
thats the reason they are looking fake...look at the outer lip of the Chinese rim and then compare it with the one on the beemer...

Anyone knows there MOMO actually makes their rims ?? China or Italy ?
Cos a lot of these are being sold as Original at Original price, If they are original then it's ok, but if not, then it's bulls$#!^ . WHat made my doubt even stronger was the weight on those rims, really heavy.

BR,

Momos will most likely be made in Italy only. Doesnt take much for the Chinese to shadow an original - whats a wheel comapred to whole cars themselves. These are fake.

OZ & BBS manufacture in Europe only, no Chinese stuff for them. Now MOMO being a high-end brand I would imagine that they would also not be manufacturing in China but we can't be dead sure about that.

Have emailed them a query, let's see what they come back with.

Blueraven..!!!
All the MOMO GTR models have 5 bolt pattern..
Only the GT2 model comes in 4 bolt pattern ...
So i guess the rims u have posted should be fake.....

Anyways whats the size of rims that u have posted??

KP on the wheels BR has posted the lettering says GT2.

If the Chinese are trying to sell a fake then would they put the "Made in China" badge on the wheel?

Also not very clear from the pic but there are letterings like TUV etc...

This could be an original but made in china... lets wait for iraghava's post when he gets the reply from momo.

OT: Cagiva has struck a deal with Kinetic motors to assemble their Mito 125, 500 and a 650 models in India. Critical components will be sourced from Europe and some willbe localised.
