Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Hi,

Your thread has been very informative. It is great to read about your journey.

I am also an owner of a Cedia sports 2010 model. My car has been running fine till now. I recently had an issue and now I need to replace the main fuel pipe. I am not able to find this anywhere. Can you suggest something?

I am not even able to find the part number for the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for this. Any suggestions on where I can procure the part from? I am not allowed to send private messages on teambhp as I am at newbie level.

Sounds like you literally built the car with your bare hands!
Superb work 👍

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

As we all know, the Maharashtra government imposed the compulsory use of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on all vehicles. In Mumbai, the RTO offered only one size option (500 mm × 120 mm) for all light motor vehicles.

The facelifted Cedia came with a more square-like number plate panel assembly, while the pre-facelift Cedia had a rectangular-style number plate panel assembly. To make the new HSRP fit the car, I needed to obtain either a pre-facelift Cedia panel assembly or find an alternative. Obtaining a pre-facelift Cedia panel assembly was nearly impossible; even used ones were exorbitantly priced. Therefore, I decided to try a Chevy panel assembly. It required some trimming where it touched the bumper, but the final results were satisfactory.

For those who don't know, I had bought the Ralliart number plate frames. But now, with this new rule, I couldn't use it on the car. Maybe someday, when the government offers more size options.

The old Ralliart decal had faded and looked shabby, so I had it made locally. It turned out very well.

Hi @Jassy1313

After going through the entire journey with your Cedia, I just couldn't leave without dropping a note here.
I didn’t even realise I had read the whole thread from start to finish right from the moment I woke up — it was truly engaging!

As someone new to the world of cars, (yet to even own one), The way you patiently waited for acquiring the parts, which seems practically unavailable, seems a lot exhausting but still makes me want more to own a car soon. Just realising, car ownership isn’t just about driving but also in connecting with the machine and meticulously maintaining it so that the story is still alive.

Thanks for sharing your experiences — it's given me a whole new appreciation for what owning an older car can mean. Am too locking eyes with some pre-loved cars especially a Punto (getting dragged due to Vit-$$ deficiency).

Do keep us posted on futher updates on Cedia.

Cheers
Einstein

Hey Einstein,

That truly means a lot! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through the entire thread and for such a heartfelt message. It’s amazing how these machines connect us.

Yes, the Cedia journey has been a mix of patience, madness and a lot of learning but also deeply rewarding. The hunt for parts and the joy of keeping it running is something only a fellow enthusiast would understand.

The Punto’s a fantastic choice too. Solid dynamics and a real driver’s car.

Will definitely keep the thread updated. Appreciate your words.

Cheers,
Jassy
