Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

The alloy wheels were ready but the hub caps were still looking old and pathetic. So I decided to paint them in matt black.

I plan to place a ralliart sticker in the centre.
Sharing pictures to give you all an idea.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

As most of you must have already seen in the previous posts, my car's left taillight has started to look dull.
I was looking for an OEM replacement. But there were only Depo taillights available in the market and those were sold in pair.
Then I started looking for a used one from a scrap car.
Last week I saw a post on one of the WhatsApp groups. There was a car getting scrapped and its parts were up for sale. I immediately contacted the seller and asked for a few close-up pictures of the left taillight.
He replied with some and I bought the light for a fair price of ₹2500/- (+) ₹700 Shipping. Along with it I even bought the OEM Foglight switch for ₹800/-
The package arrived within a week.
Some pictures to support the post.

The Taillight that got delivered.

Old Taillight.

The new one.

Thankfully I ordered the OEM clips for the taillights a few months ago. I replace the old ones with these.

The OEM switch for the foglight. I already had a foglight switch but it was an aftermarket one so I never installed that. This one going in soon.

The car looks much better now.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Hey Jassy!

Firstly, this thread is like a mecca for Cedia owners.

I am trying to restore my Cedia which is currently parked at my friend's place in Hyderabad. I am looking for a range of things including:

- Interior trim
- Shift knob (momo if possible)
- New headlights; current ones are very foggy and washed out
- Momo steering wheel

Where do I start looking in India? Or should I resort to online only?
Also what whatsapp group is this.
Joe

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

I have recently come in possession of my parents Cedia Select and honestly I have very limited knowledge about car maintenance. The vehicle is 15 years old and I'm uncertain how to get it serviced. Could someone help me with 2 things:
1. Getting added to this Whatsapp group: Cedians United (please DM for contact details)
2. Names of any trusted mechanics in Pune?

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

My car has completed 60k kms on the ODO this week and so its time to get the periodic service done. I had ordered the OEM oil filter and valve cover gaskets along with plug seals. Even those arrived this week.

As its raining quite heavily here in Mumbai, I've decided to get the service done in a week or two.

I have ordered a few more parts. Let's hope they arrive soon.

Some pictures to support the post.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Hi Jassy,

Thanks a lot for sharing your journey and definitely as d_payne said a mecca for all cedia owners

I have recently come in possession of a 15 year cedia select LPG with 65k on ODO and was looking for how to get it maintained. I feel the suspension is lacking and some creaking sounds are there

I needed 2 bits of help and was wondering if you or anyone else could assist:

1. I would like to get added to the Cedians United whatsapp group. How do I go about this?
2. Can anyone recommend a reliable and good mechanic in Baner area of Pune who can work with a Cedia?

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Most of you must have noticed that my car has License plate frame in the rear.
That's an Original AEM License plate frame from the US. It looks beautiful on the car. Though it was not a direct fit, I managed to make it fit using an attachment made out of aluminum. Worth the effort. I was looking for something in the front as well but couldn't find the right option. But then a friend contacted me...

Meanwhile, some pictures to give you guys an idea.

The rear view of the car.

The front of the car that currently has no frame for the license plate.

So, last night my friend messaged me on whatsApp saying that he has the OEM Ralliart License plate frames (front & rear) and he is willing to sell them. I wasted no time and immediatly transferred the funds into his account.

And here we have, OEM Ralliart license plate frames for the front.

Installation will be done soon. Now that I have two frames, I will keep one as spare.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Such a clean and unique car. Hats off to you for maintaining her. Even I was looking for a used cedia sometimes back before I settled for a Civic.

The idea of sourcing parts for such a low volume car scared me off as this would have been my first car. Maybe I'll get to drive one some day!

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Any idea where can I order Steering rack and column for my Cedia? My vehicle is making a lot of noise and steering wheel can feel the jerks on on small potholes. Mechanic said steering column and rack may need to be changed
