UPDATE

Had streaking problems with the Syndicate wipers on my RS. So called them up and asked them to send an imported wiper for the driver's side, which they promptly did. So been running one imported and one syndicate wiper for the last 4 days and the difference is immense.

The imported (Japanese) one is crystal clear while the Syndicate wiper still streaks a lot and also there is lot of whiteness after the blade wipes the glass.

Clicking noise because the joint between the wiper arm and wiper blade was not snug. Curiously the joint on the left hand side wiper was quiet.
Sorry for the delay in replying to your question.

But its a nice thing actually - we can now actually see the difference and work upon our own to get it better.

And Syndicate has the same quality of wipers for all and not different ones. The Japanese ones are for exclusive customers like me

What is the reason behind some owners pulling their wipers off the windscreen when they park? Does it help in any way?

Yeah, FYI 2nd hand wipers are also robbed and sold in shady markets, hence some owners take precatuions.

They're decent enough. An innovative bracketless design, which a lot of other manufacturer's have also come up with - seems to be getting popular thesedays.

However, they do need to be cleaned regularly though or they start streaking. As they hug the windshield surface, the dust and debris caught between the blade and the windscreen is hard to get rid-off during a swipe. This can be eliminated, to an extent, by lifting the blade off the windscreen and dusting the area lightly before starting off.

Michelin has come up with similar blades named Radius, or Optimum, depending on where they're sold - these are pretty decent too. Michelin blades are manufactured by Pylon.

PIAA, is supposed to have the best wiper blades in the business. Not experienced them myself, but a lot of people swear by them.

correct i guess. .ive had the same experience despite changing twice at the dealership...
btw are wipers available for the OHC similar to the ones that come in the CIVIC, OCTAVIA ..?
