Why not explore the option of getting the DOHC suzuki gti engine? Its a 1.6 liter (?) and pumps out loads of power. I wonder how much the engine and transmission will cost. Would love to do a swap for my esteem as well.

On the other hand, will the suzuki grand vitara engine fit? i dont think it will but the experts can comment.

the DOHC Swift GTi engine is a 1.3L pumping out 100bhp. from what i understand you dont need the entire engine just the cylinder head transplant would do. basically you'd be retaining the existing block. but then again you might have to look at forged internals. seems like a lot of work for 15bhp more.

a more feasible option would probably be the g16b from the baleno. easily available(comaparatively), easier parts availability, oodles of torque(also remember you'l be driving this in a car 110kgs less than the one its designed to power).

hey there !!
nice esteem bro..
arush at it as always.
what you should look at now are koni's . The sport (yellow) ones are very good for daily driving too and provide mind bending front end bite. also steering is a lot more precise.
get a port and polish job, upgrade your brakes too if you are putting in so much power also. esteems brake pads are natorious for overheating. id suggest 3rd party high performance ones.
there is a lot that can be done to a esteem. that engine is a little gem.
but hey love the way you have done her up so far and im sure this is just the begenning for her
congrats bro.. lovely ride.
