Spoke to GM, they said since its a very new engine, parts are currently not available Hence ill have to wait, any other place to source it?

Will the engine mounts be a problem with the elantra engine. Since the stock engine of the Optra can handle 150bhp, i am itching towards that engine.

Yep ,the engine mounts might be a problem ,but , again ,do you know if the optra petrol and diesel have the same mounts ?at the same places ?

Nitrous the BOSS - Please help me now to source the engine or atleast give some ideas for the Elantra engine else i will take your Sumo engine and put it in my car

@busa: why dont u get an ecu upgrade for the petrol, do some engine blue print add a FFE and nice plumbing for breathing. You anyways have a Pete swift D.

Swapping Optra petrol engine for diesel will be costly, time consuming and a very difficult task which will mostly land up in issues of integrating the additional electronics in petrol (accessories) and at the end land up with a lemon which will fetch no re sale value.

Thanks alot Jaggu. That was a excellent opinion sir. Last thing i want is a un reliable car.

I already have a KnN(squirrel sized) and planning for a FFE. Later on i will go for RD Karthiks fantastic Standalone ECM, so no need of tinkering with the ECU as of now.
