@ Arush

The wide body as shown in this picture (post #159) seems to have the rear wheel well outside the line of the front wheel. Is that an optical illusion or is it how it is meant to be ??

Just curious, as to how that would effect the handling of the car !

Cheers

@ Autopsyche - This question is not regarding this particular E36, but could you do a 2 door conversion on an E36 like you did on the palio?

in this PS job, the front bumper is a OE e36 m3 gtr bumper (the boxy looking one and it is chopped from the scale model pic that I've posted earlier so kindly excuse the shabbiness of it, the widebody is made to look like the one from the pic that arush has posted in post #159, the spoiler was also chopped fromt the same pic)

the bonnet is from the base pic, only the vents were added, hence it may look wierd.

I guess we have had enough ideas regarding the exterior, its now time to discuss the under hood details too, if Arush and Abix still have the option open about what needs to be plonked in the E36.

Here is one thread which one should surely look if we are looking for a M3 transplant. Its about an E46 with a M3 swap.
Its very very very long thread but should makeup for a good read and some great learning.

Well, the engine was decided before the car was, so no worries on that front. It will take some time before we start on this project though.

@ Abix

Check out this article on Autoblog. They are also modifying a used E36 although for track purposes. You can get some ideas from these guys too. It's aptly titled "Project Track Slut".

@sujaylahiri : Cheers bro, that made an interesting read. Though we're not really looking at a track car, if the mods go as planned, we are looking at super car timings.

I'd say you'll need a 2 door to pull it off.

I think Abix should stick to single colour schemes.
