Suggestions on things to be brought from the US, for my Alto

I'll be buying a new ALTO in this July.

I was just wondering if there is anything worth buying from the US, which is not available in INDIA or is pretty costly as compared to the US rates.

I am not looking for the ICE since I have a different thread for that.

Other than that, what do you guys suggest to buy ?

Since I have no plans(actually no budget) to get a BIG car, I am not looking for hardcore accessories or performance mods. All I want is utility things that can help me maintain and add value/utility to my car.

Turtle wax, dynamat or what ever you think can be considered.

Thanks.

You are going to get WAX all the way from US?

HAHA

That is funny , but i think it is ok , since most of the stuff in US is from China.

US isnt the best place for shopping really - been there, seen it all.

Also, is it not a good idea to use WAX in india, as wax attracts dust.
The more you wax - the quicker your car is going to get dirty - as India is a very dusty country (dont know why)

Also is not sold in US, so you are not really going to find anything for Alto.
My suggestion - save your money for Indian economy.

Check out Search results in Car & Truck Parts & Accessories in ebay.com

You will get an idea on what accessories you could get there. Forget about get any Alto specific accessory. You could look for general ones.

Also TurtleWax is very much available in India. Not worthing carrying it from there.

You guys missed this little thing :

"Since I have no plans(actually no budget) to get a BIG car, I am not looking for hardcore accessories"

Still thnaks for replying.

Any one knows where can I buy HEATLON from gurgaon ?

I just saw that DYNAMAT is selling the same material at a huge premium.
I was actually planning to get few sheets but a close scrutiny revealed that its a pretty cheap material, the same material that is used in the walls of AC.

There are few products, do not remember the name, which are heatlons.

They are targeted only for the roofs and car flooring.

I am not even looking at the standard or extreme products. They are just a rip off for the price.

And not worth the price for a car like ALTO. I dont really think, they'll add any value to the car or the listening experience.

Turtle wax should definitely be on the list. Be sure you buy Turtle Platinum Ultra Gloss Paste Wax. I bought it when I came down from the US and its really good.

Amongst other things you might want to buy a good amount of car detailing cloths as they are pretty cheap out there.

nitin: If you go to Walmart you can see lots of small tools which run through cigarette lighter socket like car vaccum cleaners, emergency lights, mobile chargers, handsfree kits, tyre inflation kits the list is long these are smal utilities that can be brought as they are small in size. You may or may not get all of what I have listed but things on similar lines. You can also search ebay & Amazon.

Hope this helps

Nice stickers, dice to hang from the rearview mirror, just kidding.

Like most of hte other posts visit a store by any cosmetic or auto care products..but you are not gonna get something that cheap or extra ordinary as almost all of it is available here
