Turbo charged INDIA

Since I see a lot of discussions on TC . Just curious

1)Best cars in india to get TC?
2)Costs incurred?
3)Selecting TC?
4)Where can it be done?
5)Any one did 2 stage one?
6)Facts, figures, dyno charts every thing welcome?

Heard abt black city in cochin, costed 1.5 lks, power 30 bhp, any others??

Is that for the 4G15 engine? What does it include? Forged internals, fuel computer etc or just turbo?

Yeah PJ, Das's getz is being turbo'd.

But, where is it?? Its been on the way for the past 2 months.
Does it take that long to travel from Leela's garage in Coimbatoree to chennai?

@v1p3r: the entire kit including injectors, uprated fuel pump, turbo,....i dont think the forged internals...u can use the same pistons,etc...i guess

v1p3r, who's gonna use more than 8 psi boost on the Lancer 1.5 engine??

I believe Sideways turbo was spooling around 5-7 psi.

No.None has tried.Even, i drive an ikon.

Moreover, trying to turbo non-japanese/german engines is not a very wise thing to do.Main reason is they aren't tried and tested.

BHPians with turbo cars: Sideways and BikerSG owned turbo Lancers. Psycho drives a Turbo conti(1.8 isuzu engine).

Hey,

Our own Ford Rocam was experimenting with a turbo on his car shortly before it got totalled. He would be the best to comment on it.

Yes Nitrous, Japanese and German cars car bear the brunt of high PSI s produced by a turbo... but turbo fords are pretty common in US.. i know we may have to over haul most engine parts in our fords inorder to turbo charge it. Lets suppose even if i went for forged pistons, and lower compression ratios, ECU remap, and a boost controllers would it be possible to do it in Bangalore. DO we have the necessary equipment/experience to do it?

Hey,

No it was totalled because of other reasons, infact the turbo was not in the car at the time of accident. You can pm him and ask fo details on his experiment.
