The Engine spec is exactly the same. I think someone like MKraft can do it for you.

The only difference is in the no of doors. It has only 2 front doors. No rear doors.

Why not sell your Zen and buy a Carbon/Steel. Why go through the headache of the conversion?

Maruti has already discontinued this version, so new ones are not an option. Only a pre-owned is an option.

even the zen is no longer available.
I believe Khanak is referring to the zen in pre owned option

Calling the estillo a zen would be like subjecting a great car to humiliation post its burial.
All respects to estillo owners but I still hate Maruti for doing what it did to "The Zen".

Hello
As far as the story of Zen goes yes the Estilo cannot be termed the Zen, as the old one was famous for various things...Yet I ve a bit of inside information from Maruti that the Estilo would be under the knife and would undergo a major revamp on the outside which would/might be due mid of 2009.

Cheers

Isnt there one other on similar lines, i.e. 2 doors, alloys, and being limited, called 'SNOW'. Though i dont remember seeing any advertisements or people speaking about it, I did come across one on the Outer Ring Road, Bangalore.

Nopes There were only two models The back ones awere named Carbon & the silver ones as Steel. Only 200 of each type were sold. These were essentially Export surplus which were launched as limited edition in India.

I am sure there is/was a limited edition zen called "Snow", white colour. I see one in Kormangala usually. Not sure if it's a 2 door, will check and let you know

No snow, at least officially. Maybe some enthusiastic dealer job.
I used to have a Zen Carbon.... the most fun I have had in an Indian car...
Regret selling it!
@bugatti86: Dont try to convert a zen into a carbon/steel. you will compromise the structural strength, unless you plan to just seal the rear doors of the zen - it will look odd though.

Totally agree with this one..

Just out of curiosity, what is the extra fun in the carbon/steel other than the feeling that you are riding a two door car which is only meant for you and your girl friend. I mean is it better for performance mods in a way that it is lighter than the other four door hatches out there?

My aunt owns a Zen Carbon and my mom has forbidden me from asking wether it is for sale!! It is by FAR, one of the BEST cars India has ever seen. Also, i think the number was more than 200 each.

Hey Spinnerr, I saw the SNOW again and its 2 door! If any Bangy boys want to check, its always parked in the lane beside the Pizza Hut, Kormangala. It was too dark for me to click a pic from my phone. Will try sometime again.
