Sparks from the exhaust

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was on a short trip with dad down south. We went to some temples in the southern end of tamilnadu. The trip of some 600 km seems to have cured the 300D of its sparky exhaust syndrome. The roads were good and empty ( cos of the fuel situation and truck strikes

) and I could keep it cruising at about 140kmph for 3/4th of the way. this seems to have cured it.
