Honda Type 1 City - ECU pinout info needed

I'm trying to put together a tuning solution for my friend who is located in mysore. The vehicle is a 1.5L Type 1 Honda City (1998 I believe).

We will go with either a megasquirt or a chipped stock honda ECU.

I'm sure someone here has played around with the stock ECU. I'd appreciate a pinout diagram or at least a picture of what the ECU looks like so I can google the part number.

Its OBD2B, with conversion harness to OBD1 will give lot of options viz chrome/Hondata which i think you must be aware. you will need an OBD1 ECU though.

Ananth - AFAIK the only people on the forum to have played around with OHC's ECU are Ford Rocam & Viper. It's best you PM them for more info.

thanks for the tip man. I'll be sure to do that.

As a side note, I would like to point out that the Modifications forum is a joke. How are wiper blades and door handles "Under the Hood" ???????

You can still use that by getting a conversion harness, chrome is used mostly on all chipped OHC's here done by Tuned i chips, most cars on forum including vipers beast runs on chrome.
i will try to get the actual pic for the same, but i think you can find it on the net itself.

thanks man, appreciate it. A pic of the connectors would be nice because I can then start building the harness. I know boomslang and some others make the harness, but why spend $100 on something I can make for $10?

That would be great Ishan. Depending on how things go I might be able to put together a solution for other interested people as well.

Rocam, what ECU do you use on your car?

Here are two pages I found :

ECU Pin-out Diagrams :: Innovate Motorsports Application Notes

ECU Pinouts

Tell me which exact ECU you need help with and I'll try to get you what you need.

I guess there was a point in the life of the car when the tyres were worth more than the car. :-)
