Contact Viper for details. He's the distributor of Tri-phase. Have you decided on the footwear yet?

Basically a Tri-phase is is added between your existing ECU and your engine. It modifies the signal sent to your engine for higer performance. All relevant details can be found here- Next Level Performance .
A new Tri phase would cost you something like 13-15K.I would recommend get the FFE and air filter before you get a tri phase while a better set of tyres shuld be first on the list.

Hey guys! my dad was looking for performance modifying his Accent too.

After reading the posts i came to know that the initial stage would be a FFE and an air filter!

Can anyone suggest any brands and installation places here in New Delhi?

I also came to know that, a lot of K&N duplicates are doing rounds in the market. So any help regarding that would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, just a doubt regardinf the exhaust system.

I drive a corsa 1.4, it has stock exhaust at the moment.

I had the CAT removed andI have seen a tremndous increase in power/RPM etc. The car pulls very smooth now and feels like a completely different car.

now, my doubt is, in a FFE set up, how much of power gain ( in % ) can solely be attributed to headers and rear muffler changes ONLY.
If its only neglible then is it worth going for FFE + CAI , wouldnt just removing the cat and having a CAI be a better option.

Please enlighten me.

Thanks

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

Good Day Gentlemen,

sorry i have not posted in ages
but been really busy with work
well i'm glad to say that in this time
i've had some awesome motoring moments

this march i bought a car from my aunt
a hyundai accent 2000 maroon red
and well she is a beauty
a bit tight on the fuel but then again all drivers never account that
well after some time with car i decided to tinker around a bit

and well after some runs to a couple of shops and mechs
i managed to put in mind what exactly what i wanted

so a couple of kilometers later
i switched over to a kn&n air filter

and managed to get a date with the boys at automech
and get my car revvin right and sounding tight

but as of the air filter change my handbrake light
seems to remain on till the engine heats up

so guys i need help with that
otherwise automech can always have my vote
awesome job done guys i love my machine even more

but now i'm happy with the engine set up apart
from just one thing do i need to play around with my ecu?

guys now i need some help on a few body mods
firstly i need some info on body kits
and if wallet friendly front lambo door conversion!

so guys need your help

and mods sorry if anything wrong with my post please amend

thanks guys

cheers

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I was looking for a suspension upgrade for my dad's Accent!

He upsized to alloys, 16" with Yoko S-drive rubber! Now the car handles beautifully!

But the upsize took a toll on suspension parts and this time' he's looking for a stiffer suspension setup which'll take the stress and strain better along with good cornering capabilities at high speed without compromising on comfort!

I have no idea regarding the suspension upgrades etc. so please advise!

Thanks!

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

sohail there are a few choices and that solely depends on your budget . A suspension upgrade is usually an expensive affair. Have you considered downsizing the current set of tires and alloys ?

That said, take a look at Pete's Website, he is a member here too.

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

Hi! Thanks for the reply!

Actually the car is quite old(~10 yrs) and dunno what exactly took toll on the suspension, the age or the new alloy/tyre combo!

He's mostly looking at performance coil springs with dampers and nothing major!
Checked out Pete's website. Will contact him and see what he says...

Thanks again!

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

I contacted them but they're out of stock on dampers and coil springs etc.!

Can anyone suggest some performance ones?? And are these car specific?

If I order them from abroad, what specs should I be looking at?

Re: Performance Upgrades for Hyundai Accent

Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,

Well its been over a year now that i have my beast.
And all i can say is that she motoring pleasure.
I managed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai's Concrete Jungle.

And take a drive to goa via the new road through pune.
The car simply outdid herself.
I have to agree with a fellow Bhpian on the website whose name i cant recall, the accent after being modded is capable of crazy speeds.

But this brings me to a very iratic fender bender.

Though she performs way beyond asked on the highway, her inner city mileage is crap.
With pushing her to her edgy limits of the yellow fuel warning lights, she manages to give me a 400kms in city on a full tank.
As opposed to the 600+kms on the highway.

Any ways this is just a bit of information on my beast.

Firstly Mods Done As Of Now.
15Inch Alloy Wheels Wrapped In Yokohamas(Nitrogen Filled)
A Knn Air Filter
Automech Complete Exhaust System
4 In 1 Dashboard Meter(Rpm/Oil Temp/Oil Pressure/Water Temp)

So now I Have Decided to Look More to The Car Exterior Detail.

So I Am Looking For Any1 Who Can Help Me With The Same.

Main Ideas!
Simple yet unique bodykit

Guys any info on who can help with regards to the same in mumbai???

Let Me Know.

@ Sohail
By the way buddy with regards to the information on the suspension,
when i bought the car over, i re-did the entire suspension, no doubt after the wheel and tyre change to 15s, the entire setup cost me 16k with labour.

Thanks And Best Regards Always...

Rev Hard, But Rev Safe!!

Cheers...
