Tanveer I would recommend against plastic jerry cans since the pressure differential can make them leak. All said and done army jerry cans are best. A good paint and leather lining for the caps and you are set. Capacity is 20Liter

Ok, from where do I get the leather lining done. Do the people at Mayapuri do it?

The jerry cans should be air tight, i.e. I should be able to lay them on the side without danger of spil. I can look out for Army ones, but I am told they leak from the cap. So something with a seal will be good. Also they should be able to handle atmospheric pressure gradients if I forget to vent them.
3. Hydraulic jack - Good enough for the safari
4. Foot air pump - Preferably double barrel heavy duty type for SUV tires.
5. Good Took kit with Ring spanners for Lug nuts etc.,
Update.
I have bought quite a bit of this stuff from Mayapuri, thanks for the tips Harjeev!
1. Toolkit : got Pliers and full spanner set, + Ring spanner 18-19, and Star Spanner 4 in one - 450rs I did not buy the "by weight stuff" but brand new stuff
2. Tow Ropes - Got 5 ton flat nylon tow rope with shackles. 5 meters length. Total cost 1100rs
3. For jerrycan I have asked my cousin. He will arrange 2 30 liter cans. I am buying 1 10/15 liter plastic can which will be the intermediate can so that first we can transfer some fuel to this can and then put in car. Lifting 30 liters is going to be too much
4. As I am sliming my tires I will make do with my electric air compressor

Hydraulic jack and Jump start cables are pending. Will get them from Kashmere gate next month.

I will add more to the list for my Leh trip, but meanwhile these are the must have items,
I have no idea where to go in Delhi for such stuff. I checked out Lajpat nagar for foot pump etc., but thats expensive, and quality is dubious.
So people who know the "old markets" of Delhi please help.
Okay time to update what I got and where, and what still to get
1. Tow cables - Got 5 ton 5 meters with 2 D shackles from Mayapuri. Got Flat strap type from a shop recommended by Harjeev
2. Jerry can - Could not find anything there, the metal ones were horrible. Scouted noida Kabari bazaars, and saw those 35lt black hard plastic ones, but quality looked suspect. Then finally I found a shop selling brand new plastic cans with stopper plug. Good quality, and somewhat flexible too. Got those 3 (20,35,35)+ funnel for 430rs. The 20lts can is transfer can. lifting 35kgs is impossible, so we tested this approach. Tilt the 35lts on tailgate so that fuel falls out into the smaller can, transfer 15-20 liters at one time. Tested with water, approach works perfect
3. Tool kit - Got everything from Mayapuri
4. Shovel - Got one from noida. A little to big but the very small "good looking" shovel was for 350 at hometown, and this sturdier one is for 125.
To get today
1. Hydraulic jack - Kashmere gate
2. Foot pump(optional) - Kashmere gate
3. Battery jump start cables - Kashmere gate
4. Fuses - Either some TASS or Kashmere gate.

Tanveer, can you name the particular shops with some land mark identification for both these items, please?

1. Hydraulic jack (370mm height capable)
2 Jump start cables
3. Tire Pressure guage

All three for 2000rs. 1250 for jack, 600 for jump start cable, and 200 for tire pressure guage

4. Foot pump - 300
5. Scredriver set - 190
6. Spare fuses (20 total both small and large ones) = 40rs

For Tool kit you have to go inside mayapuri jeep market. Lots of shops there. Selling scrap as well as new stuff. I bought new stuff
For shovel went to Harola. Near the spice market, there is agricultural equipment shop which sells this stuff. They buy from chavri bazaar.
The "small stylish shovel, which I think is useless" is for 350rs at Home Town GIP

Only the Jerrycans worry me, apart from that the Safari's boot swallows all. And then there is the space in front of back seats for some small stuff like water, food and rear seat itself for some bedding and all.

I bought the stuff from Mayapuri area. Not the jeep market, but shops selling brand new stuff on the main road(from which you take left to mayapuri).
So for flat tow rope, rated 4 tonnes, thats the best place

Tow ropes come in different length's and tonnage
Tonnage
3, 4, 5 tons (Maybe more I dint inquire)
Length
3, 4 5 meters (Maybe more I dint inquire)

Also along with the tow ropes you might be requiring D Shackles too.
These also come in different sizes and capacities.
