LOL Why do you think I am Phil's favourite customer ??? :uncontrol Actually the Green Pajero is up for sale as is the Merc. So now I'll just work Monday, Wednesday & Friday, till the new crop of cars arrive, hoping the Freelander 2 :D
Cheers
Nice intercooler placement.
Inspired by the Swift Diesel, heh? :)

Nice placement ? Ok if you say so !! The decision was Phil's as I had left the build entirely in his hands or should I say at his mercy !! :uncontrol
Thanks anyways !!!!
Cheers
The starting trouble seems to be back again. This morning it took about 30 cranks for it to start.
One thing I noticed, was that when it does start up, it starts like around 500-600 rpm & then slowly shoots upto 2000 rpm plus, so what I am saying is it is not a smooth start.
But once she is moving there is absolutely no problem, in running, in re-starting or any erratic behaviour.
The previous time it went to Phil for the same problem, there was some issue with "crank position sensor" (which was replaced), sourcing of which Phil told me was not easy.
So keeping my fingers crossed & hoping it will sort out on it's own (maybe it is the cold start) It is too much of a hassle to go back & forth to the workshop every now & then (lazy me)
But one thing is for sure - when she is running - she makes you forget about all else !! :D
Cheers

Chill out it happens once in a while, its even mentioned in the car manual! It happens in my car too in the exact same way ..
This is what the company recommends when it happens ..
She looks absolutely awesome, ricky! Love the clean, sleeper look :)
More videos when the glitches get fixed, please.

I am chilled out buddy !! No worries. The car is being mothered by a competent friend ! The battery is in top shape. If it survives 30 cranks & still starts the engine, it ought to be.
As a precaution I even had the battery checked, it is perfect !
There has been no flooding or any such thing either.
Thanks for the advice any which way...

Thanks buddy, ya she is totally "sleeper". Sleeps more drives less ! :uncontrol Just kidding.
Ya would love to put up more videos, especially as she now sounds like a stock car ! :D
Cheers
The Swift is now with the Hella 1000's glaring down the road, brilliant spread. So now I can drive safe seeing all the craters on the road, with the Hellas & the stock headlights !! Me happy !! :D
Cheers
I was in for a SURPRISE when I tanked up today !! The car is returning a respectable 10 kmpl. On a tankful to tankful !!
This is after I asked Phil to look at the fuel ratio, seems it has helped. Not like I have started driving like a saint. Who can with the turbo rush ??
Hope it stays this way or gets better, with petrol at 61/- per liter, I am watching my fuel consumption. As this is the only petrol I have !!!!
So far so good.
Seems like the increase in temperature has done good for the starting trouble as well. Maybe I'd rather keep my fingers crossed !!!
Cheerio
Some night shots of the Swift with well aimed Hella 1000's !!
I hope you bring this car on 20th feb drag. One on one against minestupid:
