regarding fuel efficiency, if you drive off boost it WILL give you normal fuel efficiency. if you keep spooling the turbo up then it will give you less. now beat that-driving off boost lol:

What's the point of spending all those greens if I have to stay off boost ? But I do drive off boost in traffic most of the time. I think have a chat with you know who & maybe find a solution to the high fuel consumption..afterall we are like this only :D

cheers & thanks mate

@ricky : drive off the boost and you will get gas mileage !!!!! you want to eat rasgulla breakfast lunch and dinner and not put on weight ? LOL you know who to talk to then ....GODlol:.

For the brakes, I recommend the Hawk brake pads.
Quite a few Bhpians in Chennai use them.
Track day boys 'yzfrj' and 'hirevbg' love it.
Superb performance and good VFM too.
Check it out: Hawk Performance Brake Pads

Tried contacting them, the website does not seem to respond too well. Would you know what kind of price would they run at ? Was considering Mintex, Tarox & now as per your suggestion Hawk. How would they compare against each other ?

Thanks

Hey Ricky,

Why dont you get rear discs installed from phill? this way you will get good support in delhi it self and your comprehensive documentation will help me to modify rear discs for my lancer :D, What say huh?

I checked with Phil on that. They cost quite a lot & when uprated disc pads can suffice why spend more ? I am anyway broke by now !!

Thanks - will do right away !! No response on the phone either, just ringing ! :Frustrati

Finally got a call back. :) Have been suggested Hawk HPS (High Performance Street). Wanted to know if these are good enough, compared to Mintex. There is a large price differential between the two.

Tarox is out of the reckoning as they do not have pads for the Swift.

Any knowledgeable input is welcome.

Cheers

Sirji,

What about these (just the rotors)

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ml#post1266729

& something to complement it like Hawks / EBC

The rotors can always be added later if the brake pads do not suffice !

Thanks for the suggestion though !

BIG TIME starting trouble in the mornings. The battery is in top notch condition. I suspect the plug connections or maybe the plugs themselves.

Need to have it checked. It used to be a 1/2 self start car. Wonder what happened.

Any inputs ?

Cheers

Could be anything. From a simple thing like bad plugs to a full blown piggyback issue. Can only be ascertained by the tuner himself. So when's the sleepover party at your house.Coz thats the only way Phil can check it in the morning. :P

may be just compensation settings on the haltech for cold start

I doubt very much that is a piggyback issue, coz once it starts it runs perfectly. C'mon don't give me nightmares ! :D As for the sleepover party - that would not be required, as this behaviour surfaces even during the afternoon.

I certainly hope so. Will need to have Phil take a good look at it. It is the most embarrasing thing, when your car does not start up in 10 - 15 cranks. :Frustrati

Cheers

Try cranking with the throttle pressed around 7-10%

pranav - isn't that a procedure to crank in a carb engine incase of an overflow?

Can the FPR be at fault? or the Fuel pump?
