I am planning to install strobes on my Indica in place of the parking lights.

I have a few questions :
Are the cheap chinese ones bright enough ?
Is it possible to install them myself ?

I guess I sound stupid, but is there any actual practical use for strobes other than bling bling?

I was thinking of getting one, or a max of two strobes fitted in the back someplace (probably right under/near the rear-center-brake-light) and getting them connected to the reverse gear.

I hate the reverse gear horns, but I want people to be warned in some way when I'm reversing. The panic lights are no use in my neighborhood. 80% of my driving is in the evening/after dark, so maybe these would help. Do you folks think it would help?

You can just turn on the ICE! Your ICE seems good enough to get the attention of the whole neighbourhood!

OT: Can you please help me with the cost of sound-proofing WagonR, at Cochin?

Whoops! Aren't strobes these bright lights that blink real fast, making people pay attention? I just want people to see me reversing and give me the leeway I need, without cutting across the back, even while I'm reversing. Like you said the reverse light is quite bright enough to see well.
