In my experience Jopasu works well with mild dust and only with loose dust. I have been using it for about 3 months now and its been working fine.
If you have grit on your car you are better off with a wash or atleast a quick detailer.
I am certainly happy using Jopasu on most days. However with the monsson season nearing, i guess it will be time for moth balling the Jopasu's :)
Also for those among us who have the duster failing within a months usage, mostly likely its due to misuse like used to clean heavy/sticky dust, used on a moist or wet surface etc.

Yes that is correct, but most of the dust that falls on my car gets off. The reason as told by Team UD(mkh and nirmal) is that a surface with some protection( wax/sealant) does not allow dust to bond, and its easier to remove.
Using their expert tips, i am finding it very easy to maintain now with the duster and waterless wash detailing spray.
Its about 4 and half months now since i have been using Jopasu almost every day. Its working fine. As i mentioned previously i use it with light dust only. For grit and mud i rather prefer washing the car.

Hi Saikat, This duster I got from K-Force, It is in Madinaguda (Miyapur Area), you can find their board on the left side while traveling from Allywn Junction to BHEL after crossing the Reliance Fresh. This duster costs you around Rs.475 which is the MRP. I recently bought two of them one for me and one for my friend. You can also check the availability with them by calling this number: 9704998899 (Mr. Ramkumar).

Thanks so much...I happened to call Jopasu directly and they told they have recently hiked the duster prices to Rs 575/-. They do not have any dealer in Hyderabad yet, so if I order through EBay, it is costing me 575+shipping :Shockked:. I will find out if the stock is available with K-Force and pick up one.
My Jopasu duster lost its dust picking power after 1st wash!! It still works but not as effective as it was before washing. This is the first time I washed it after using it for hardly 10 times. And yes after washing I dried it under shade.
Guys any suggestions?

Did you put it in the washing machine? Top loaded or front loaded? I heard the Dacia Duster beats the Jopasu duster in all abilities. :Cheering:
On a more serious note - Rinse in luke warm water only.

Did you wash it with any sort of detergent or soap?
if thats the case then sadly there is not much you can do about it as the fine wax coated strands must have been damaged by now.
Even I faced the same problem after washing my duster with mild detergent and the original dust picking properties are lost.:Frustrati
For all those people who feel that they have lost the effectiveness of the Jopasu Duster after giving it wash, you can try out this tip:
Actually, according to the instructions you should wash the duster after it really gets dirty. I mean to say, I am using my second duster and I have been using since last 2 years. My first duster has worked for close to One year without the wash. I have washed it after that...I used only cold water with little bit of Amway car wash shampoo. After that I felt that the duster was not that effective. I was suggested to apply liquid wax to to the duster and after that you can reuse it. This will certainly help in getting the magic back to certain extend. I gave away my first duster to be used for house hold things such as cleaning the Window panes (Have a large house and with lots of glass window panes). My wife is certainly impressed. But you can try the renewed duster on the car anyhow.
Why not wash the duster with a good wash and wax car wash. I hope it will work this way too. Comments on this- most welcome.:)

The threads are wax coated and that's gone when washed.
IMO the Jopasu duster is not worth the money. It needs to be lighter in weight and the stitch quality needs to improve. Also the handle needs to be broader with a rubber grip

I am impressed with your ingenuity, hope my wife gets impressed too.
Has anyone tried cleaning the duster with compressed air, as you would with an air filter. Think it should work. From what I have read in the thread the duster works best when unwashed.

Last Sunday, during my visit to Reliance Autozone at Tolichowki on the main road from Mehdipatnam to Gachibowli, I saw at least half a dozen Jopasu dusters as well as Jopasu combo kits. If i am not wrong the MRP for dusters was Rs 476/-

Thanks for the info. I went to a store in Madinaguda as pointed by a fellow BHPian. But apparently all the dusters had got exhausted.(At the time I called him, he said he had them in stock). I am still looking for them, Autozone is out of the way for me. Will need to plan out for this.
