Tuning box for 530d

Hi everybody, I am considering the Pete's tuning box for my BMW 530d Highline. Did anyone try it yet? or anyone know anything about it? Will I have any issues from BMW if I install it? There will be a 25 bhp and 55 Nm increase from stock. Thanks in advance guys.

You will not have issues from BMW if you keep quite about it and remember to remove it before sending her into the workshop.

Here are a few more options have been tried and tested on several BMW forums:

eBay.co.uk Shop ? Abrieb Chiptuning: Search results for.
Don't be fooled by the Abrieb pricing, it is cheap but quality stuff ! A lot of rave reviews of it.

Diesel Performance Vehicles supported by Tunit Performance

Speedhawk Diesel Tuning Box - Common Rail Diesel Tuning Box BHP Plus Diesel...

How much does the pete's box cost?

Good luck on the box, you are turning a monster into... "i'm falling short of a word to describe what the car will be" :P

My question would be does it really need one? Its already a stonker of a vehicle and has a huge 51kgm torque.
Get it only if your friend has the A4 3.0tdi.

Sahil,

Any good remap options? Known (reliable) brand names?

Yes there are a few but it's really not feasible or viable.

I haven't heard of anyone providing remaps in India for BMWs, hence the only way is to send the ECU overseas and have them courier it back.

A remap is risky as it just might be detectable by the service center. Also, if for some reason the ECU get's flashed in the routine service schedule, your remap is lost !

Tuning boxes deliver almost the same power and safety as ECU remaps but thanks to their plug & play feature it can be removed before sending her in for service or otherwise.

its actually 34bhp and 84 nm. that means 269bhp and 584 nm. that is on the first setting. petes currently has the best aftersales service in india. if bmw finds out about it they will void your warranty but you can take it off before you give the car for a service.
