I had missed this thread. If only he used headlamps from some other car, and not the Corolla, the front wouldnt have looked that odd.

The car is still running around, with several other enhancements. The owner is now in Dubai, but prabhuav and I bumped into him in Cochin the other day. It has a new Gold+Ivory paint job and several other bits and pieces including new alloys, tyres, headlamps etc.

It sounds great and moves VERY well. You wouldnt suspect that its still a first generation Indica Petrol engine under the bay.

I had an1999 Petrol Indica. It was a very good engine, I had crossed 150kmph (speeedo reading) on this car. But the maintenance became too much to bear. Tata Motors guys gave up. I actually found the local garage guys to be much better at servicing/fixing the car.
