Turbo Facts

How many car's in India are currently running over 10 PSI of boost??? as we know at 14.7 PSI of boost the bhp effectively doubles.

I have personally run 12 PSI and know of 2 other cars that have run 10 and 20 PSI... Also have seen and heard of cars that hardly put out much boost but the claims never end.

Guys those of you who are running over 10 PSI please do also mention what are you doing for fuel enrichment.

30 Psi..??????? Are you sure, rocam..?? Perhaps it's the boost at the compressor end (absolute pressure) not at intake......30 Psi actual boost is like....HOLY MOTHER OF GOD....! More than 2 bar...!! Dayum... We're talking about 600+ BHP at the crank....

P.S- You're not mentioning the Silver EVO7 per chance, are you..?

Doesnt the EVO 7 run a stock boost of 19 PSI hence 30 is not a eye opener but what would be interesting is the size of the turbo being used and where the boost is being measured.

stock evos run around 14psi....that too with a boost controller(like an Apexi power FC) with the resrictor removed....i have seen cars here ON THE DYNO SHOOT OUTS they have here at auto expos running close to 2 bar!!!

some crazy critters blow their piston rings trying to force feed thier motors with higher boosts and smile when they see their rings being fried!!!!

i run around 10psi for daily driving....rarely ever take it up to 14psi...although the N1 turbines are good for upto 18psi in its stock condition.....

The juice to go with it is 103 High octane.....

while some use racing grade fuel (around 108 oct...for shoot outs)

The EVO 7 is actually running more like 28 PSI and it has around 400BHP.
It also has a Stage 5 clutch that needs a weight lifter's leg to depress and stalls below 2K. The Owner is an absolute gentleman and he REALLY knows how to push this thing well. Trust me...Monster is so so understated a word here!! Try 0-60MPH sub 4.5 seconds..

I stand corrected for my earlier post.
The Evo 7 delivers around 17-20 PSI normally and when on Nitrous, 28.
Usually the kits fitted to Indian cars are low pressure , i.e. 4-7 PSI. These usually don't require much internal work..
