Enthiran movie car?

Saw this car in Chennai recently. The person driving the car said that it was used during the shooting of the Tamil/ Hindi movie Enthiran/ Yenthiran starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Oh yeah .This has been posted earlier in the weird and wacky thread also.
Its actually a good job if only the bumpers were a little better and were not painted in that color.

Anyways attaching pics of the other car used in the movie.
This clk cabriolet was used int he chase sequence and it was crashed on purpose.

Hey the registration says TN 01 G, which is normally given only to Government vehicles in Tamil Nadu, thus it means either its owned by some Govt guy or
Rajini is a government employee in this movie..
How is that for a catch.

Tractor tyres , PVC pipes , flourescent paint! YUCK. Rajini would play joker if he uses this piece of junk in that movie.

And hey, they crashed a Merc on purpose?!

Isn't that a C class with it's roof cut-off? I mean, the CLK should have been used for all shots except the crash. Like the scorpio instead of the prado in the crash sequence in Sivaji

Or, it is a 1988/89 Government owned Gypsy that has been procured from an auction.

Dude, they burnt a brand new Beamer 5 series, for the shoot. The initial producers were not aware that the great director wanted a new car just to put it to flames. When the damage was actually done, they were fuming and confronted the director that they could have arranged a old one had they knew the purpose.

Knowing the megalomaniac that this director is, it boiled down to a big issue before the movie was bought by the other well known producer.

That's freaking insane man! Burning a brand new Beemer Well , come on, no soul can probably tell an used Beemer from a brand new one, on screen. Sheer waste of money and equipment!
