I think there was a thread like this before.

Anyway, i think its a no brainer. The light weight chassis of a Bzen should be enough to achieve a much higher power/torque to weight ratio than a VTEC running a tuned B15 engine.

A B16 OHC is a diff beast altogether.

It would make sense if you were to compare a Bzen vs a Zonda.

End of the day, a light car will always be more agile and easy on its parts. So maybe you should think of a Zonda.

Vtec. Bzen will be a great track car, but the honda will be a better all round car.

I'm sorry. You must be misinformed.
A B-zen has the crappiest weight distribution.
A track car has to be well rounded unlike a drag car which is all about the power.

wildchild, I dont know if you need a track car or a drag car.

Not really, the Fit/Jazz is sold here as well. So you plonk in a B16 or a B18 engine in it, add a turbo charger and you'l have an absolute rocket which will also corner better than a Bzen/Zonda.

The Js Racing Fit weighs just 880kgs and has 320bhp (363bhp/ton). Its lap time of 1' 03 at Tsukuba is a whole sec quicker than the NSX R, so its a car that can handle 320bhp in a straightline as well as around corners.

In that case your best bet would be what Jitu did initially. Buy an old OHC 1.3, replace its engine with a bone stock B16 with 170bhp and LSD transmission.

This should be more than enough to satisfy your need for speed while still keep it reliable.

But if you are looking to compete and win in a particular class, there are countless permutations and combinations.

BTW, im not sure if a Bzen/Zonda come in the same class as a pro stock NA OHC VTEC.

well if the vtec were running cams then they would all fall in the 1.6 pro stock catagory..
cz last year my friends lancer running cams was put up against Shabbirs vtec zen in the pro stock catagory..

and yes i m talking about the 1.6 pro stock catagory..

now hows this for a comparison.. the wolfs city vs Shabbits zen (-) the Nitrous.

@wildchild4lyfe:

Wolf's car is a MONSTER ! i dont think its possible to build another car like his PERIOD ! even if u did, its going to take a lot of time, patients and skill to handle such a car like that on indian roads.

i personally drive a stock vtec, and am amazed at the way wolf's car moves. it just looks like i am driving a santro when he pulls off from me

fast cars like these are a pain in the *** mate ! u need time, money and a very good mech to sort the problems that you are going to face, and believe me it aint easy !

wolf's knowledge about his car and his driving skills are one of the main reason for the unbelievable timings that he is clocking. If u want a car that can beat this, then i suggest u work on a zen as its easier to attain such times NA or engine swap to be done on a city.

This is as good as saying "lets race a Mclaren F1 vs a Veyron (-) the turbos.

FI cars are tuned differently so you can't just disable nitrous and expect the car to perform well in NA.

When Madhu's OHC VTEC did a 13.6 run with NOS, his NA time was just 15.7. So cars that use NOS are not built for outright NA performance.

If Shabbir has to beat Wolf's car in NA, he will have to tune it for NA.
