I would strongly urge everyone keen to install the HIDs to check all the components before installing the HID kit. I recently got it installed and the only mistake I made was I did not go through the installation guide while the lights were being installed.

Consequently what I noticed was that Philips supplies parking lights along with the whole kit which, to my shock, the dealer had supplied to me saying he is providing me free of cost:Shockked: (As a result I did not get cash discount)

When I confronted him later, he said "Where is it written that its free of cost. I pay Rs 600 per pack to get it from Philips" - absolute bull

Dear Moderator - Is there a forum wherein we can blacklist such dealers so that our fellow friends are aware of their deeds?

This dealer of mine did not even align my lights properly as apparently his guys had not been paid their salary that particular day so they were in a hurry to wrap up everything.

This is a prominent dealer in Gurgaon - AKD Tower (Sector 14, near HUDA office) : Elegant Car Interiors and the name of the dealer is Bobby Gandhi

Just be careful:deadhorse

Wont adding a relay require cutting of wires and void my warranty?

AFAIK it will not void your warranty.

Upgraded headlight to 100/90 in my safari.
The plastic cap on the back of the light assembly need to be cut to allow the holder and the wire to go in. Didn't like that.

Arindamray,
because of this issue only i did't go for head light update ( for my Verna ). Then how did mechanic seal the cut on plastic cap?.

Seriously I think dust mates or moisture may go into the reflector .

Hi guys,
Any idea about the availability of Philips X-Treme or Osram Nightbreaker 55w in Chennai ?

Hi Akshay / Bakiya

The (cutout/relay) which is missing for installation is the one which connects to the middle wire in the pic

Hi Fountainheader: I just managed to see your post here, and apparently, there is a coincidence.

I am just informed that my Fabia's projector lamps cannot accomodate H4 bulbs. I purchased a Philips Xtreme Power [80% more light] light pack just before I got the car.

I paid Rs.754/- here in Bangalore, purchased with bill from AK Traders [famous for lighting products in B'lore].

I am planning to try getting it changed with any H7 bulbs, provided I manage to find one. If not, I am planning to sell them off. The box is still unopened.

If you are interested, let me know. I will be coming to Chennai on the 31st, and you can pick it up from me, on the same day, if you wish to. [a bit of note though: i will unfortunately not be in a position to drive to a location for handing over].

Thanks... aK
