I meant whether this is of the same size and fit into the existing gap. Check on this.

Whats a good way to check? Such an assembly is not available in India. So, unless one Orders for it , won't it be very difficult to gauge it via Net or something else!

Re: Difference between Xenon-Angel Eyes-HID-Projector headlamps

Any one of you successful in finding the HID/Projector kit for Vento headlamps? I am too looking to mod my Vento HL, but havent yet found anyone who could do it/ have done it. A few in my wishlist:-
1) HID, smoked HL (no Angel eye/DRL)
2) Chrome beading (similar to Jetta; infact this comes as an accesory for ANHC)
3) ORVM turn indicator

You can try to source bolt on projectors. These are the only option since there are no ready made projector kits for the Vento.

In my opinion please stick to your OEM lights as retrofitted lights do not give good visibility. I had the entire assembly for my logan, and believe me i couldn't see a thing when other headlights were on my face. The costlier ones are good, but i believe they only come for the SWIFT and few others. The HID's and projectors we see in mercs and and others are very good as they have done lots and lots of R&D on them. So, please stick to your normal OEM's.

No no! I didn't say that it was priced ok. All I am saying is that is that what he wants. Unfortunately, not too many options for Vento, ain't it?

Yes, not many options for the Vento/Polo. There might be shops abroad with these lights. Try searching the net and import it. But guess it might be expensive.

Re: Difference between Xenon-Angel Eyes-HID-Projector headlamps

Also i wanted to clear the air about xenon lamps and HID,s. HID's use a ballast to power the bulbs whereas the xenons dont have a ballast. the ones seen on higher end cars. they are pretty much expensive than HID's and are much better.

For eg . if you stand in front of a car with HID's on it you will not be able to stare long at the headlamps due to the sharp and harsh white light. Now do the same with a xenon fitted one and you can look all day(oops night) at it. So it really isnt fair when adverts call it xenon lamps and sell you HID's. xenons are much more expensive and come without a ballast.

Re: Difference between Xenon-Angel Eyes-HID-Projector headlamps

The headlight assembly in those pictures are factory fit and come with the European Polo GTI's. Even the smoked headlight assembly on the European Polo's is factory fit. There is no assembly available yet. Its kinda disheartening.
