Just sent the application for the same. Have sent it from my gmail id , is that ok ? or do we need to send that through TBHP?
I have read that the race will be held somewhere in Oct-nov 2011?
Will be a great thing to get in as Marshal.

Why only track marshals GTO? Someone needs to do the flagging and communications? In any case, to those who have applied, good luck. It'll be one hell of a time!

This is really awesome news and it would be a great feeling to be selected for marshalling at the Indian GP. However I understand, but am disappointed that travel and accommodation will have to be from our own pockets. India is a huge country and travelling all the way from south multiple times would just be impossible.

If it is a one time travel then too it might be allright, but I don't think that is the case. I have a friend who marshalled at the Singapore GP and he had trainings over multiple weekends spread across many months. In fact they even had race weekend where all the marshalls in training get together and watch the other races live.

Anyway, whoever does get selected, do make the most of it and wish you all a great training and a great GP.

Interested? Lets take it up via email.

Thursday could include briefing and preparations. Also, keep in mind that F1 cars aren't the only machines you'll drool over. An F1 weekend has several other "supplementary" forms of entertainment (classic car parades, Porsche Cup races etc.). Not confirmed which supporting events the Indian GP will have, but we can safely presume a leg of the Polo Cup + some supercar / vintage car / super bike events.

As mentioned earlier, its a completely voluntary roll. That's actually one reason why the organisers prefer Marshals from North India.

Look at it this way....you are getting the best view for free! Either this, or you pay for a grand stand ticket.

Of course you can! But please have them fill the form out themselves, and send it from their own email address.
