I would say, please take it to a competent auto electrical electrician. Although I wired mine, it was years ago & I had got the switch replaced & with an auto electrician before the pandemic to ensure everything is good.

BTW, use 1 sqmm wire instead of the normal puny auto electrical wires.

We've never went on such impromptu ride & Friday night was one such day; came home at 9:30 Pm after talking with neighbors & friends, 9:40 Pm decided to ride to Davangere for having benne dosa at Guru Koteshwara.

Friday 10:40 Pm we started after tightening & lubing the chain. From the log...

Ending the year with some numbers of no-frill motorcycle that has been serving since Jun 2011 over 10.6 years or 126 months & some more days. All it was served (not needed) with was a service of 12.8K in April 2021, tires for 6.7K in Mar 2021 & it kept munching miles like no other with Honda reliability. In fact after the fat Inty invaded the garage, CBR has managed to gain more love from all of us

Nothing much to report in here just that the bike is "unexciting" as there're no events, it has become more like fill it, shut it, forget it type now

In between got once serviced from Didar, if anyone's interested in the process, here's the summary:
- Called up Didar, asked them when I could come for a service
- They told as usual - Pls come to your preference
- Told them firmly that I will come whenever they're having less vehicle to tend
- Got an appointment by end of a month (I think Mar/Apr not sure) where there were hardly any vehicles
- Gave them nearly a week's time to fix almost nothing (change brake pads/engine oil & both filters, tighten chain, top up brake oil, tighten bolts)

The time & money was worthy!! This is a chain used for ~6K Km & over 1.5 years

What's an Interceptor doing on CBR thread?



With the rains almost ceasing from Chennai, realized, it's also the time to switch the motorcycles. I've said this before & I'm still saying, CBR never ceases to put a big smile on the face whenever I take her out. With a brilliant engineering, practical torque & suspension made like cushion, CBR 250R is volvo of motorcycles!!

Interceptor taught me this once again yesterday; no bulkiness, no muscles needed; it's simple light weight, yet strong & powerful on the traffic infested & congested roads. Maneuverability with joy of riding; road, no-road, as long as the path is motorable, CBR 250R takes it head-on.

With almost 2-3 months of Interceptor put in use, I was almost on the verge of selling CBR 250R, but one ride is all it took to retain the vehicle for 4 more years. Quite hard to believe it's over 11 years now with that pinnacle handling.

However Interceptor has spoiled me in another way as well; instead of twisting the throttle gently, now I'll have to revup past 7K RPM to get that same experience of Inty. In a way, it has also rouse the young college going kid within

I bought my CBR250R as a stop-gap motorcycle, before the Interceptor was launched. However having ridden the CBR for a couple of years, I did not have the heart to sell it off. It is still with me, and despite the power that the Interceptor spoils us with, the easy riding flickable nature of the CBR is still unmatched. The ergonomics are spot on for me, and I enjoy the CBR's handling much more than the Interceptor's straight line adrenalin rush.
