Would Bajaj have to go thru homologation again for this bike to be launched in India? Or they just stop importing existing model and offer the newer model (for the same price if I may add )

That is a sure head turner. Great designing. We got to see it in person to believe it. And the color options are too good. Hope we get all color options here in India. They better price it in the same range as the present Ninja to have a good number of takers, but I doubt its a possibility.
Waiting for the launch, long way to go though.
My personal choice will be the black, grey or the white (in that order).
Would have preferred a different set of wheels. Spiders looks dated IMHO.

Well called Bajaj Probiking Pune (I hate them but no choice) to enquire about Ninja 650 and 250. Well as soon as I mentioned 250 lady knew I was talking about 2013 model, so they are receiving calls about it and public is aware. Internet baba - all because of you, hardly any bikes are sold in Indonesia and whole World knows about it.

I seriously doubt there would be any takers for old Ninja 250 as people will definately prefer to wait for a looker. I think Bajaj would be pressurized to launch the model ASAP so as Kawasaki, which would be feeling the heat from rest of the World too. Good thing though.

Exactly! I was also like A 300! nice bike. I am loving it. Lets wait and watch what do they bring to India. If this comes in, the we have another segment opened up.

Already, 150, 250, 600/650/690, litre class bikes are becoming more common and now if 300 comes in, sure its going to be fun for the boys.

Well a 300 cc Ninja makes more sense then a 250R at a price of 3.5 lac+ (assumption). Also if you add ABS to the 250R, it will be touching 3.75 lacs which would make the proposition difficult for the World's best selling sports bike. Adding to that, we do not have 33 BHP kind limitation for newbies so 300 cc with more BHP (or 400 cc) makes way for product differentiation also.
Since CBR 250R retailing at half the price (mind it that the diffirence is 3-400$ in US market and still it's giving a stiff competition to Ninja) it would be a wise move on part of Bajaj (ernst Kawasaki) to bring in a bigger model. Surely success of 650R will pave the way for change in mentality that it's difficult to sell higher cc sports bike in number (obviously with VFM pricing, thats what market in India looks for)

I hope Bajaj aka Kawaski listening. Bring it ON!

+1 to that. Ninja is Bajajs premium offering and they won't be looking at numbers. Bajaj is brilliantly poised occupying the entire spectrum from the affordable pulsars to the deliciously priced ktms to the premium Kawasaki ninjas. bravo bajaj!

300CC and with 39BHP is fantastic. We don't have anything in that category at the moment. Only thing me is waiting is for the price and the launch date in India? I am hoping we have localization for this one. If the pricing is right (between 2 and 2.5 with some sort of localization) this looks like my next bike.

Well 3L is my absolute hard limit. I was about to book a CBR250 ABS when I heard about this. I think I will take my chances, ride my old P150 a bit more and dream of when this is launched in my shopping budget.

Meanwhile I have my task cut out to get wife on-board for this one
Extra 1L, he can have a wardrobe full of clothes in that... hard to negotiate on those terms

How much is the current 250R in India?

I think they will place the new 300 around that price point only (considering they can sell the 650R for such mouth watering price - they can very well place the 300 good and still keep a good distance from the CBR 250R)

250R is around 3.10L On Road Delhi.
I'm not sure the 300 will make it to India. Is it mentioned anywhere ?
Anyway, if it does come to India and below 3.50L.... WOW! It'll be great!
