How many of us have concentrated on the rpm meter on our vehicles and understood its real meaning ?

Shyam,

Can this be procured now? I have inquired at the dealership, but in vain.

Re: Royal Enfield DVD - The Bible of UCE Engines (DIY)

Unfortunately enough, I do not have a copy of this DVD ;-)

However, having said that, I would love to have one myself.

I believe the thread initiator got a the DVD in Kerala.

Re: Royal Enfield DVD - The Bible of UCE Engines (DIY)

Hello Adrian,

I own the new Thunderbird 350. I had been looking for Royal Enfield UCE engine manuals/guide etc. since a long time, but failed to find any. I found your thread a week ago. As soon as I got to know about the DVD, I started inquiring about the same from RE Authorised Spares Dealers and Service Centre Managers in Bangalore, since about very much interested have my own copy. But unfortunately this DVD is not available with anybody. A spare dealer said that it used to be sold some 3 years ago and no longer available and most of the service centre managers don't even have a clue about it !

I would request you if you could share a copy of the DVD with us if it is fine with you. I am pretty sure that most of us need it here for troubleshooting and educating ourselves.
I am ready to pay for the charges involved in making a copy of the DVD, and courier charges to Bangalore. Please mail me on my email ID if you could help me in this matter. My email ID is: bhasker_s@live.com

I am a new member to Team-BHP and hence, not able to send private messages. I hope I am not making any infraction or violating any forum rules by directly asking for this favour over thread.
I hope the Moderators correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Royal Enfield DVD - The Bible of UCE Engines (DIY)

WOW, this is great for a DIYer like me who likes to do things myself, given the fact that RE service centres are overloaded with work, It would be a good idea to handle some of the common issues at home.
It also helps to know your bullet better, no harm in learning, no matter how less or more you learn it lives with you and will always be helpful at some time when you least expected.
Even before I got my bullet, I was on Youtube, finding info about the new UCE Engine, and also the CI engine videos, Disassembly video and a lot more. I wanted to be hands on with the Bullet and its parts.
We Indians, In general do not like to get our hands dirty (Not Everyone) and here I mean No Offence to anyone. Just saying.
I would like to know more about it and get one for myself.

Re: Royal Enfield DVD - The Bible of UCE Engines (DIY)

Hello friends and experts :Lots of requests are being received via PM and through posts for sharing the DVD. As I said in my previous posts, the DVD was a clean purchase. I don't even know anyone from the RE company or service and no influence or pressure was exerted on the parts dealer to sell me this DVD. The DVD is of a high security type. You have to install it to the computer and then the software will generate a unique ID based on your computer configurations, which you will have to sent to Royal Enfield along with your registration details ( ie name, address, phone) and all to get the unlock code. So even if I sent you the image of the DVD, it will be useless. Also please understand my helplessness as we are dealing with a copyrighted material here.
So I am once again posting the part number here :888002 and it costs Rs.2860/-.
If anyone from RE is reading this : "Please make this product available for purchase to customers. I found this extremely helpful."
regards adrian

The only problem is that the said part number is non existent. I have tried looking for this and seems that this particular part number (or rather anything that starts with 8880** does not exist)

Have already enquired at all the RE dealerships over here, but of no use.

If anyone from the RE management is reading this thread, please advise.

I could not check the entire CD (something which I plan to do in my leave period), but the little things that I could go through on the fly, will atleast help a novice to learn the basics and some troubleshooting. Worth a purchase I must say.
