Hero is phasing out all bikes that involve paying a Royalty to Honda and I believe Impulse is one of them. They already discontinued Xpro, Ignitor, Hunk.

I do believe a new 250cc bike will be launched in 2017, but it will be more similar to HX250R and not Impulse.

Looks brilliant. I have recently got hold of a brand new impulse . Can you kindly share the details and cost of the exhaust and any other mods done ?

Hi , the exhaust is a one-off custom made megaphone (cant tell you the cost as its not available for sale) with a thailand made stainless steel end can. Engine from a Kzma. Carb from a NS200. Has high lift BBR cams, fork braces, Tag forged alloy handle bar, msr hand guards...etc

Cosmetically it has a NS200 rear end with an ebay taillight ,a polisport front fender and new black paint.

The rear mudguard on my impulse has cracked. Just as well, coz I always found that flappy thing rather hideous

I wish to copy your idea and get the NS rear onto the impulse. I want to chop off the tail section just under the tail lamp and add the NS tail for the number plate

Is this a plug and play operation? Extensive jugaad required?

Hi there, Its no big secret he he.

Some juggaad is required, though not extensive but I doubt you can mount the NS tail to the plastic one on the impulse. The plastic bit on the impulse is flappy as you know and the Ns one is alloy so it will flap about even more.

You may have to get rid of the whole unit and get a different tail light setup.

I have used a couple of triangular metal pieces where the top of the triangle mounts straight to the frame and the rear face of the triangle i've mounted the Ns tail. Hope this helps, my bike is at the mechanic's or I would have posted pics of the mounts but I've made a simple sketch in ms paint to explain.
