The Duke brand is very established by now and is rock strong especially in states like Kerala when many young riders are enthusiasts.

Overall, the move to launch the MT 15 seems to be more of a Yamaha India management tick mark than an actual pursuit of chasing big revenues.
Saw a MT15 on the road. It's compact.

Yamaha's own FZ25 would be a direct rival to the MT15. Priced almost same with Bigger looks.

I would personally prefer the MT15 over the FZ25 though

Yes, I am aware that these numbers are dealer dispatches than actual retail sales. However, clear picture will emerge in 3-4 months time frame from launch than 1-2 years which is a rather long period.

Spotted one in black at Thousand lights Chennai when i went shopping. First time in flesh, i could not digest the looks. R15 without a fairing makes it look very unconventional. Creates the same impact the Kiska designs did to us a decade back. Those beautifully sorted mechanicals in a streetfigter does have its allure. But then i am not in the market for a bike this size.
