The two bikes look like a couple side by side.
Congratulations on getting a new ride to your family and yes, they both complementing each other with exact matching like 'Made for each other'

Hi there. Which specific MRF tyres do you recommend. And approximately what does a pair of these cost?

I have also heard from other owners that the stock TVS tyres are really poor in the rains. They are fine in dry weather. I would definitely want to change these before the monsoons given my wife is a really new rider.

This newly launched Race XP edition of Ntorq is the first 125 cc scooter in India to have > 10 BHP power!

Better the higher BHP, because the new BS6 scooter was limp (Compared to our BS4). I just couldn't believe the NTORQ had turned into just another scooter

The size that NTorq comes with only TVS remora tyres are available. Given a chance and if Michelin had a tyre in this size, would have swapped it immediately.

Recently changed the tyres to the new ones from TVS Remora.

Autocar review of the new XP. They claim the NTorq now has 0-60 comparable with Aprilla 160/Ather. Post BS6 update hearing about the loss in acceleration was heartbreaking. Good TVS got the old glory back. OTR in Bangalore is 1.12L

P.S: This dude used to work with zig wheels earlier often known as junior Kartikeya. Looks like he switched to Autocar now

What a cracker of a scooter. The power is just right for an adrenaline rush. We took a test ride and friend booked it on the spot. Suspension is too good and the new Remora tyres are superb. (2500 each, if you want to buy). Outstanding graphics to boot. TVS has a winner in this

How times have changed. Never thought the time would come when commuter vehicle performance would be compared to commuter electric vehicles. EV's have come of age, though I will personally miss the IC engine in the future

I was so bummed out to read about this variant so soon after we bought our N Torq. I had heard so much about the legendary N Torq but I was honestly underwhelmed by my Jan 2021 Race Edition purchase. If the Race XP was an option when I bought mine I would have easily chosen it over what we did.

Anyway, I am hoping in the near to mid term future it’ll be interesting to take the plunge on a nice EV 2 wheeler and at that time I’ll bump the NTorq off anyway soon.

Don’t know how I missed this gem. I have been looking for a good quality half face helmet for ages. Any specific models from Nolan or SMK that you recommend and any online retailers that are a good place to check these out? I simply haven’t been able to find good half face helmets in Mumbai.

Thanks

Sebring please elaborate on the suspension part, not clear when you say “too good”. I found the suspension on the normal nTorq to be firm. Is this one any different? What’s the recommended air pressure front and rear.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi, we have the NTORQ Race Edition. This was the launch vehicle and its pretty stiff on humps. This one soaked up all undulations very well. It's the perfect setting, is what I meant. Just try it out. The tyres are also from a new supplier. Sorry, I havent checked the ideal air pressure on the new one. On the old, it's 25/35

@axe77; Nolan was purchased in the UAE. Its real perforated leather surround. SMK is online. And a division of Studds. This is largish and wont fit in the box, so I have an external lock set for this.

+1 to this. I test rode the Ntorq race xp couple of weeks back and the pickup and suspension felt pretty nice. Even in street mode the pickup felt good enough. I almost felt the urge to book this exchanging my 14 year old RTR but then its hard to believe this would cost me almost twice the RTR(this was 65k in Pune around 2007).

Re: TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition launched at Rs. 62,995

Hi, I have taken delivery of my Ntorq RE (not the XP version) in August this year. Got the first servicing done exactly at 500 km. The odometer reads 802 km now. Post servicing, I checked the fuel efficiency for the first time today. As per full tank to full tank method, I got a hopping 49 kmpl (4.04 ltr of petrol for 198 km ride). Incidentally, I refill either from Shell or CoCo petrol pumps for all my vehicle. But this mileage was beyond my imagination. Also, the suspension which was a bit stiff previously was found to be just perfect to my liking after the servicing.
