Has the ECU update changed this for anyone?
If so, where do I find the Quickshift On/Off setting?
Its under 'Set' -> Motorcycle -> QuickShifter along with ABS & MTC. I had access to this from day 1.

@nutcracker Does it stall when you are downshifting? Or any specific action (Btw, I haven't written it off as fixed yet. I'll wait another 500kms and some long weekend riding to write it off as fixed.)

@TuxDiesel
That's where the Quickshifter setting is supposed to be, as I remember from the Test ride. But it is not there in my bike, and mine has gone through with the ECU upgrade.

It doesn't stall when downshifting. It actually doesn't stall much, just that I feel the low end is lacking.

As per few YouTube videos, the QuickShifter menu is hidden for some bikes initially. It gets enabled (or unlocked) during 1st service. You can confirm the same with your SVC.

re: The KTM 390 Adventure (Gen- 1) Ownership Thread!

Something interesting which I had been watching for the past few days. An owner had taken his 390 Adventure to Spiti in the first 2 weeks of March (so right before everything shut down) along with a friend on a BMW G310.

A teaser

Episode 1 and then it goes on.

Route taken was Delhi - Shimla - Chitkul - Kalpa - Pooh - Nako - Tabu - Kaza and back. From Kaza, they went to Langza monastery and also visited Chicham Bridge.

They then made their way back to Delhi via Shimla. The dude did Kaza to Delhi non-stop in 18-20 hrs!

Funny thing. I'm sure there is an explanation for this. I saw the QuickShifter setting when I checked yesterday, it was back. Then I checked today again, and it disappeared.

This is really weird.

First give the WP suspension as an option, instead of all the nonsense stuff like bags and side bags which are available dime and dozen. Pricing is also killer by the way for these power parts in India. Pretty pointless.

That video is for the global market where the adjustable suspension is already stock

Ya so atleast give it as "powersport option" in India. Serious short change we have been handed over!

My bike already started making some thud thud noise from front with lil fun I had, and that too on road lol. That fixed suspension is the biggest flaw in the whole package sold in India.

Strange. I think your weight on the bike has more to do with it. Suggest you replace the fork oil to something heavier until adjustable forks come along. Maybe maxima 15wt. I think the bike runs 10wt (which is stock on the versys as well).

Yes at 90KG I might be too heavy for the puny adventure. But I believed someone else on the Adv group also had same issue (JB iirc) and changing to a non OE stuff means... another round of explanation to the great manufacturer if something goes bad further down the line. Plan now is to ride it till next service or if it increases, show it to KTM and let them fix. I am not doing anymore free consultations to any of the manufacturers. I paid the money and I will demand for every paisa worth, its their headache.

Apologies in advance for the n00b question:
There are adjustable 1-5 level knobs on both the clutch and brake handle. What does they do? What purpose do they solve?

Thanks man. We had a good time. You can rent xpulse or CRF 250s from them. They are probably a hell lot more fun there than the 390 adv.

I recently saw that there was a place called 8moto which has started adventure riding training in pune. Maybe worth a look.
