In Bangalore, are there any dealers who gives a Test Drive bike now? |
Kwality mobikes (Kanakapura road/Banashankari) have a green interstellar variant available for test ride.
To the Bhpians who recently enquired about the RE SM 650, how much waiting times are the dealers saying? I have been told that it'll take 6 months down the line to get the delivery.

Booked on Apr 28, tentative delivery initially showing was May 18th. Now the REApp says vehicle is shipped to dealer and tentatively it will be available on Jun 29th
Interstellar green variant is the vehicle.

I have booked the SM650 Astel variant via a dealer with no customization in the month of May. The expected delivery on the app is showing at the end of November. Have the waiting periods increased to 6+ months and Is it the same for everyone who recently booked the bike?
Previously I think it used to be around 3 months. Also in the northern part of India most of the dealers have bikes for only display purposes, have tried a few and none of them are ready to provide test rides even after requesting a ride from the official RE app. |

Same here, have booked the bike and the app shows 6+ months of waiting (4.5 more to go) and dealer also says minimum of 3 months but be upto 6 months.
I checked with few other dealers since the last post and none of them have a clear delivery timeline or a bike for test ride.

Dear Bhpians,
After almost few months of driving experiences what are your takes on the bike?
Pros and Cons? Do you feel like you could have gone for another alternative bike much cheaper but almost similar experience? |
I completed 2 months and 2200 kms as of today. Here are my observations so far.
1. The ergonomics are spot on for me. Feel like riding the bike more and more. It is evident that the designers have put in lot of effort into optimizing the riding ergonomics.
2. During one of my long rides, I had to ride more than 200kms through the winding hilly roads around Munnar. The stiff suspension setup was a boon here as it helps to maintain stability on the winding roads. So for those of you who think this as a sore point, it has this advantage.
3. The low center of gravity and the heft of the bike provides excellent stability on high-speed highway runs. No amount of wind blast can unsettle your ride.
4. The engine has enough grunt for quick overtaking maneuvers makes the ride more enjoyable.
5. And the gear shifts are slick once we get used to it.
Overall, if you like cruisers or your use justifies a cruiser, this one rocks.

I received delivery of my Super Meteor 650 on the 18th of June '23. I did not book the bike as it had 6 months waiting period.
I instead developed relationship with the head of the sales team at my local dealership.
From my walking into the showroom, TD & delivery it was less than a month.
I understand there are a lot of bookings that get cancelled. If you have developed a relationship with the sales guys, you can get one of those.
Disclaimer, you have to ready to compromise with the colour.

I wanted the Interstellar Green with the touring seat & windscreen.
But, I had to take the Celestial Red.
I was avoiding both the Celestial models for the white patch on the tank, that will be difficult to maintain.:)
I got mine from the Shreeji Automobiles in Greater Noida.
Quick question to the owners. When the ignition key is turned on, a number gets displayed for around 1-2 seconds before showing the odo and other details. Does anyone know what does that number signify?
Hello fellow BHPians,
I wanted to know from folks having the celestial variant/folks who have installed the windshield. What would be the minimum height requirement for a proper visibility using the windshield?
Such that it's not required to look through the windshield but from the top.
My height is 5.4 so was unsure if I should get the windshield installed.
I have seen in videos that looking through the windshield causes distortion.
Thanks in advance

Unsure what the minimum height is. I'm around the same. Solution is to get the 350 meteor screen which fits as is on the brackets. I've also given feedback to the RE team. The issue is not just distortions though that is the major one, but also wind blast to the top of the helmet.

Ohh okay, are the clamp and shield sold seperately?
Do we need to buy both the windshields(350 and 650) for the setup?
