I rode the new Pulsar 150dts-i and I think it isa much more refined bike. The NITROXX that they have introduced makes the ride quality much better esp. for the pillion. Mags give it a sporty look. A unicorn with mags is what Honda would want to introduce.

dude , if u wanna gor refinement and build quality, go for unicorn..If u wanna cruise like anything go for 180 dtsi.Ofcourse mileage is for unicorn when compared to 180..For college studentse 180dtsi is the best.Or if u r more of a matured proffesional i suggest unicorn.

also Honda does not take the premium the dealers do take it.they will give ur booked bike to someone else for extra cash.
Did u ride the karizma which has a price cut of 10k?
HH was charging a premium for the bike when it was launched...now the situation has changed and in order to mantain sales, HH have been forced to reduce the 'premium' and not the quality.

i dont talk without seeing it.i cousin has got one 2 days back.and comparing the build quality of the HH to Bajaj or Honda.HH is the worst and Honda has the best.it is like this if u love the karizma u will always speak for it.have u seen the paint job and the rubber fittings or the stickers.half the sticker on all 4 bikes i saw had air bubbles.

See all the three vehiles side by side and then i bet u to tell me HH has better quality that any of the other two.

i cant say about the unicorn, but i have had both the pulsar n now the karizma, the quality is definately better on the karizma when compared to the pulsar. The older pulsars had really smooth engines but lousy gearboxes, the new dtsi has vibrations above 5500rpm.

On the other hand the karizma isnt perfect either, first of all i dont like the way it sounds, the pulsar sounds better in my opinion. n the karizma looks incomplete without a full fairing n tyres look too skinny.

i am not talking of the engine.the engine is definately more refined in the Karizma.no doubt.i am talking of the build quality of the machine like paint,plastics,details,etc.

The last gen pulsar Dtsi is perfect , it takes corners very easily, the quality is really good.
Even the gearbox aint that bad , I would say it is 95% perfect.

rear tyre is slightly broad compared to the unicorn.
The rear tyre thread pattern is awesome unlike the Unicorn which has the same MRF Zappers found in the classic 150 pulsar and first batch of DTSi's.

KArizma is good , but slightly low on FE, (30 compared to 40 of the 180 DTSi)
Quality of Fiber on the Karizma sucks.
Paint quality of Pulsar is better than KArizma IMO.

Now the actual war:::::::::

Now coming to the UNicorn
My friend in BBAy got offers from a dealer ( all amounts without loan -full one shot payment)
UNicorn without self-start === 55500 ( waiting 70 days)
UNicorn with self-start === 58600 ( waiting 95 days)

Pulsar 150 DTsi ===== 56500

Now the Pulsar is readily available
It has alloys

Still Pulsar is expensive by 1000/- compared to the non-self-start Unicorn
OR

Rather Pulsar 150 is cheaper than the Unicorn by abt 2200/- ( Self start unicorn model)
And u dont have to wait for those 3 months.
plus U get alloys , which are good.

Mileage of Pulsar and Unicorn is just 1-2 km difference which dosent matter.

So , Bottomline is,,,, Pulsar kills UNicorn in all aspects IMO.

revtech , I was talking abt the P180 when talking abt the gearbox
Was referring to P150, when I compared mileage.

IMO , P150 is a full 4500 cheaper than the UNicorn , 2000 actual price difference and 2500 for the above average quality alloys...

IMO the UNicorn looks bland.
IMO , Pulsar wins by a solid margin over the UNicorn .
