Hi Ankush. So your lighting issue is resolved. Great! Guess i will do the same thing for my P-150 too. Kindly let me know the foll:

1)Did u change the Stator plate & Bulb only? what about the rectifier? was that changed too?
2)Was the stator plate from the new avenger 200 or the old ave 180 or 180 Dtsi?
3)How much for the avenger stator plate?
4)Is higher Gauge wires required after the mod?

Thanks. cheers:

Yesterday while returning from office an Indica was going parallel with me, so I tried to compare the brightness and I realized it almost equivalent!!!!!cheers:

Still, I will be trying out Philips Xtreme Vision or a normal Philips Halogen. Will let you all know about @ the results.

Upgrading of Headlamp in Pulsar DTSI 180 Digital ver.

Hi Folks,

I am new to this forum. And I own a Pulsar 180 DTSI 2007 (Digital Version). As I m not stuff enough technically on this, I request your suggestions.

I wanted to upgrade my head lamp to high wattage more than what I have now (from current 35/40 W to 55/60W - If I am right) with a white Halogen bulb. Can any one please spoon feed me on what to be done on this. And what are all the spares to be changed for this small mod. Also please let me know if any impacts is there on the scoope glass if we upgrade to higher wattage, like the glass getting faded or blurred etc,.

Thanks in Advance,
Karthik

Power and Performance of the engine: NO.
Load on engine: Very very very negligible, one cant make out.

Use a relay circuit for the headlight circuit to avoid premature burning of the switch gear and reduce the OE wiring load.

Hi ankush,

I have enquired my mechanic regarding changing of Avenger 180 stator Coil to my Pulsar 180 (Digital Version), He says it will not set and not to waste money by buying it. Is it so?
More over I enquired in a Bajaj original spare parts shop, they say that there are two types of avenger stator plates one cost Rs 550/- and other cost Rs 750 /- they can give the spare if we provide them the old stator plate. I cannot provide the old one as I have pulsar 180.
Kindly suggest please.

Thanks in Advance,
Karthik

Avenger stator plate installation failed

hey guys,

I tried to install the stator plate for avenger into my pulsar 150 dtsi (no self start). There was actually a green wire for neutral coming as extra in the avenger stator plate. In my sock one, this wire is combined along with the wiring harness itself. I suppose the above method will not work with the pulsars with out self start. Any suggestions..............

Guys!
Have a query.
I own a Pulsar 200 and I am thinking of using a 200W headlight relay meant for cars and use it in my bike with a 100/90 or 130/90 or maybe even 55/60 bulb from Philips.

Would there be any problem because as far as I know the car's headlight run on DC and not the bike's?

Or should I just buy Avenger's Stator Plate and use higher wattage bulb?
What wattage would the Avenger's Stator Plate be able to handle? 100/90?

Dont even think of putting anything above 55W.you will burn the headlamp glass!buy the avy 180 stator plate and a good 55W bulb like philips xtreme power.the avy stator plate can support max 60W thats it.

PS: I have done this mod in my 180 UG3 and it works flawlessly!
