May I ask from where you get the part ?
Genuine Yamaha ?

If so could you ask the shop folks if they are ok to ship it to Chennai or Cochin ? I'm more than happy to pay the shipping cost.
Nope, Yamaha hardly has any part for the Zed. The parts i get i get are pretty close to the originals though. I dont think he ships, but i can try and courier the parts to you.

Nice bike BP and yzfrj!

@yzfrj: I have a similar bike, I bought a HL reflector, dome with bulb and accesories for 650 in Mysore. He had more of these when I bought them a year ago.

My bike had a local fairing with a bad paintjob. Rest of the bike had the original parts that came with the bike. Eventually fixed it, some pics here : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...g-up-bike.html

Thanks, buddy.
I'm saving for the "big" fix. Need to paint the frame and the engine, chain cover and the works. Its not like they have rusted, its just in some areas the paint has come off, kinda expected as its 12Yrs now. Chrome is still fine as I always keep it under a layer of polish.

Oil pump is having some trouble some times, chain-sprocket is reaching end of life and engine is holding up till now

The main "upgrade" will be the disc brake.

You have a well kept bike SunnyBoi, vert rare to see an Rx-Z that well maintained.

I'm all in for alternatives, HH Splendor (old one) has similar headlight dome but mechanic guy says it will not fit as the screw/latches are diff. My daily ride is 10Kms on well lit roads so its not really a problem at this time. My only want is to keep it as close to stock as possible. As time passes it is increasingly becoming difficult.

Good job done! Those minor changes, and this should make the bike looking even better.

Sprockets also need some dressing up.
