Going by the symptoms, suggest you take a look at these :

1. RX100 gear shifter had a converter attached as a part of the lever, to take care of the 1 down and 2,3,4 up order of shifting. Check whether the converter is in good shape and securely fastened.

2. Check the engine oil grade. Yamaha has a 20W40 engine oil for 2 strokes as a separate offering.

3. To improve acceleration, try a bigger size main jet. This will need better 2T oil lubrication - with a good quality 2T oil (if the oil pump is disconnected and if you are adding 2T oil to petrol, there will be a definite difference in pick up). Idling is ~1000 rpm, and if it isn't steady at this level, throttle response may not be snappy (and also affect mileage).

Getting a new Mikcarb from Seana auto spares

Can someone help me by suggesting a good mechanic in Hyderabad for restoring my RX-135.
Due to years of non usage it is getting rusted and I want to restore it back to its original glory.
But unable to find a good mechanic. Please help.

Distress call to the Rx Bosses here please...

This is...well you all know where this appears, at the clutch cable side. I know how the bolt broke when the chain link had accidentally broke off. Additionlly some portion of the adjourning metal, which happens to be from engine case also got chipped off. Some joker had sealed this with God knows paste. This is not a very serious issue, but after a ride 2-3 drops of oil spills over. I'm determined to fix this forever this time, so seeking your expert opinion.

Ok, we remove the paste, but the screw will not get seated because of adjourning metal being chipped off.

What can be done now? Kindly shower your blessing on this Rx as well please? Kindly don't ask me to change the engine casing...please? Thanks

Oops, that's bad

Easy fix is to change the case.

Or

Remove the case and take it to someone who does aluminium welding.

DISCLAIMER : I AM NO RX EXPERT.

I see that there are some threads on the part that is broken. Even if you weld that part, you still need to bore and tap it to proper size. Better said than done. Best would be to change the whole plate.

Lately my Yamaha rx100 is throwing tantrums.Its really a herculean task to start the engine . Keeping the engine started is tough job as it requires jerking motion to keep it started
After warming up the starting trouble goes off till the next cold start.
The mechanic who restored it says that the culprit is after market non OEM carburator.
Moreover the mileage is pathetic and hovers around 24kmpl.
Help and advice urgently required.

Mikuni is either difficult to source or quoted a leg or hand. OTOH Mikcarb can be sourced easily.

My current non OEM carb is proving to be petrol guzzler .Mileage has never breached 24kmpl in last 2200 kms post the restoration .Initially I thought after running in the mileage would improve but much to discomfiture of my wallet its stubbornly sticking to its ground despite multiple iteration of carb settings .
