Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

Look below Vehicle Status Inspection.

Damaged/Scratches/Missing is listed as "All vell". Thats what I can make out.

That's the section I was talking about.

Guys we need a tutorial on here on how to take a bike for a Service at a Authorised Service Centre.

Ok, so that section mentions that the bike is clear. I'll try to persuade that person further with this point. But from his attitude, it seems he wont budge. He maintains that the dent was already there. The debate with these people now has come to a standstill and it isn't making any progress. I am trying to get in contact with higher officials.
Without insurance, the denting and painting would cost Rs1600.The Pulsar logos would cost Rs1200, and the belt guard will cost Rs100.

If he says the dent was already there, ask him why he didn't mention it in the first jobcard.

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

Bajaj mailed Sai Service. The work manager at Sai Service contacted me. He says he can repair the tank for me under insurance. 100 % of the denting and painting cost will be covered. The 'Pulsar' Stickers will need to be replaced. 50% of the sticker cost which is 1200 will be covered. So I will have to shell out 600+90(belt guard)+50(insurance fees), i.e. around 750bucks.

He still refuses to accept that the damage happened at the workshop.

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

Tejas, I suggest you let the matter drop and have them fix it under insurance. Remember you still have to go for a few more services with them. Alternatively, look for a good Bajaj A.S.S. in your area and service your bike with them henceforth.
I used to service my bike with them in 2005, they were pretty okay back then, I mean, never gave me much reason to complain.

How is Sai Service, Kothrud? It seems they dont have excess pressure. Should I get my bike serviced there henceforth?
Any other good Service station around Deccanor F.C. rd?

What mail did Bajaj send to the dealer? Did you get a copy?

Under insurance you will lose NCB for no fault of yours.

Actually you lost the plot when you first took the bike from them and then went back to show the dent. If you had noticed the dent right then you could have got it repaired without paying anything.

Like I said Live and Learn. Next time don't do the same mistake.

I hope you understand the Service Center is taking the customer for a ride. Under Insurance or without Insurance its still the customers money.

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

I had noticed the dent at the time of delivery and got it in notice of the manager right then. But he refused saying that it was already there, I may have not noticed before leaving the bike. This is absolute lie. I noticed the scratches on the visor after taking the bike home.

I dont know what mail did bajaj send them?

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

They were not ready to give the gate pass of the bike unless I pay the bill amount. So i had to take the delivery first, then I got to see the bike. Besides I was managing without a bike since 23 days. That was inconvenience. I have mentioned this already. After a long argument I got pissed and left.

So you have been had. Your eagerness to get your bike played against you. You cant do much now. Go by the insurance route. And name the service advisor, manager on this thread. So others are aware how to deal with them. This is a grave unethical practice.

Such scum should not get away.

I do understand that the OP was set to lose his NCB but since he mentioned he had already had some body work done from them in the first post, I am assuming he has made his first claim already.
Hence I think he should have it fixed totally under insurance (as they are offering) , since this is a deadlock situation anyway.
Just my $0.02.

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

Cant exactly remember his name, but this guy is the main floor manager at Sai Service, Shivajinagar. Whenever anyone is dealing with this workshop, be very careful. They are crowded with a lot of bike which they are not able to manage. Besides they dont take the responsibility. Even brand new bikes waiting for delivery are scratched. So avoid this showroom for delivery as well.

Re: Bad experience at Bajaj Sai Service, Shivajinagar, Pune.

Since your bike is a P220, it should be pro biking who are servicing the bike and not the regular guys. When I had the P220, there was a cap on the number of pro-biking bikes which they take in for service on a given day. Also, I had the option of staying with the bike right from the time it goes for washing till the time its serviced, polished and handed over to me. This was for of course for a routine service and not accident repairs. A separate Service Adviser from pro-biking would inspect the bike and provide the job card.
Not sure if its the same at your location as well or not.
