I rotate my tyres every 7-10k km and have never re-programmed the TPMS. I have a 12V compressor which I use to top up air whenever required during which I keep the TPMS menu on and each tyre responds as per the correct location.

I am not sure how it locates position but it works well and pressing reset / store is more than enough. Of course I have not added a TPMS to my spare and hence do not know how this will change the logic.

Whoa! I didn't know that at all! Thanks a ton :thumbs up

I'll check it on my 2021 S.

Hi Guys,

I am having couple of issues with my 2020 Ecosport Titanium Plus AT. I am planning a visit to Ford Service Center but the issues are mostly random hence looking for your inputs. I am afraid that I might not be able to replicate the issue and the service centre will dismiss my concerns.

Issue No. 1

One of the horn stops working randomly and the horn sounds more like those on Activa’s. The issue happens randomly and I have been able to record it on video. I am assuming it would require a replacement.

Issue No. 2

The wiper washer fluid stops coming out randomly. The washer fluid reservoir is always full. I can hear the motor working but the fluid doesn’t come out. Sometimes restarting the car fixes the problem. I couldn’t find fluid leak anywhere too. I don’t have this recorded and I think if I am not able to reproduce the issue the service centre will not do much but say they have checked everything and everything is okay.

Issue No. 3

Rattling sound from the front. It happens when I am going through a bump, potholes or a speed breaker. This sound appeared after the last service. The car was damn silent before the service. First I thought it was the bumper however on a closer inspection the sound appears to be somewhere around the engine bay. It’s like some plastic bits are loose.

Have any of the fellow members faced these issues and how they get rectified.

On a side note I had a really scary incident on a recent road trip. The car was driving absolutely fine for first 50-60 Kms however after that I started to feel judder and vibration at steering wheel every time I was applying brakes. I thought it’s due to the discs. However the judder became violent as I progressed. I stopped for a quick inspection and the discs were absolutely smooth. I couldn’t understand why I am feeling the judder if the discs are fine. I decided to check the wheel nuts. To my surprise three out of four wheels were loose. I was able to tighten the nuts using the wheel spanner and the issue disappeared. Anyone else faced this?

I have faced these 2 issues as well in my Ecosport. I am yet to take it to the service center for rectification.
The horn though, touch wood has been working fine for the last 2 months. lets hope it stays that way.
The windshild spray I rear one works but the one in the front seems to hardly spray any water. Will get that checked when I visit the service center for the recall

Can confirm two of those issues are also present in my Aspire. My car's horn was perfect for a long time until a month ago when I had to drive down bad mountain roads amidst extremely heavy rains. Since then, randomly one of the horns stop working even when it hasn't rained for weeks, and it sounds even worse than an Activa, it sounds so embarassing that I stop using it when that happens. After parking the car for a couple of hours, it gets back to normal.

And the wiper issue is also there, although i mentioned it to the SA during my last service and since then it hasn't happened a lot. He said that he adjusted he washer lines inside the bonnet a bit and that fixed it.

Could anyone tell me is there a way to get Android Auto to work on this 8" screen? Or do I need to completely change to an aftermarket AA compatible unit or maybe it is possible to retrofit the unit from the facelift Ecosport?

The car is now with me, drove it down from Delhi over 2 nights and 3 days. I have a couple of questions for the forum here -

1. I am looking to update the NaviMaps version installed in the ICE, its currently running on v14.0. I think the latest is v22.0 or thereabouts. Could someone please guide me towards the right way to get these updates?

2. Anyway of re-programming or DUI'ing the screen into adapting Android? Seems far fetched and with the risk of losing the car alerts etc.

I face the same problem on & off, but running the pump/motor for a few seconds continuously or at times pulsing the pump/motor starts spray again :Frustrati

I too have this irritating sound in my 2014 EcoSport TDCi. Not sure if it the same case in your car, however, in my case it's the assembly which holds the radiator. It has some play which causes this sound.
I used a couple of zip ties and secured it. That jugaad only last a few kilometres. Since then I have left it as it is.

I have the exact same problem in my 2017 ecosport. I have visited multiple times FASC but they have not been able to solve it. Since it happens randomly, it makes diagnosing all the more difficult. I am thinking to replace the horn which stops working (its driver side one).

Thanks for pointing it out. Two three days back I was observing the engine bay while the engine was on and I realised that the rattling is from engine bay and not from the bumper as I had thought it to be. I was in a hurry hence didn’t spend time investing it. After I saw your post I checked the radiator and to my surprise there’s lot of play in the radiator. I am able to move it back and forth with very little force and there are flaps on the radiator fan cover which I think are making noise. Could you or anyone on the forum confirm if the radiator is supposed to be loose?

Is your car under warranty? I was thinking they should replace it straight away since it’s not a big part. Had my car not been under warranty I would have replaced the horns myself.

I was earlier convinced that some or the other fastner/bolt etc was missing which led to this loose assembly. But when I checked atleast four other EcoSports at the service station with the same play, I had no other argument for the service advisor.

With more than 8 years and a lakh kilometres, it hasn't troubled me yet except for the occasional irritating sound. So leaving it as it is.

That is surprising. I just did a random search on Google and it led me to a YouTube video where a user had pointed out the same thing, Radiator being loose however the vlogger created a video of his Ecosport where the radiator was absolutely tight and wouldn’t move. Sadly for me everything started after the last service. When I received the car after the service it was making a very irritating rattling noise from engine bay. The ford technician came and diagnosed the issue to be a broken clip which holds the fuel line. Don’t know what they did in service which lead to damage to fuel line clip. They didn’t have it in stock. So I was requested to visit service centre. On my visit they fixed the broken clip using a tie belt. Once that was fixed I was so relaxed that I have the same silent new car feel back however my happiness faded away when I heard this noise coming somewhere from the front of the car. I thought it’s the bumper and was thinking of removing the front bumper and examining what is loose which is making this noise. Looks like I will have to live with it. I regret getting it serviced. So many issues have cropped up since last service.

Facing similar slight rattle on uneven roads from the speaker mounted behind the infotainment screen. It goes away if I put my hand on it. The service center guys aren't very keen on resolving it since the dashboard needs to be fully taken apart to check the speaker. :Frustrati

Found this oil patch at the bottom of the underbody cover. Is something leaking or could it be a spill from the service done a couple of weeks back? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I had similar issues as Issue # 1 mentioned above and had a slightly different issue with the windshield washer in my Facelift 2018 EcoSports T+ (D). The washer motor was not working, but the wiper blades were moving.

I got both the issues addressed by PPS Ford Yelahanka last month. The 2nd horn and the washer motor were both replaced.

I am experiencing a rattling sound from the rear right side. I'm not sure what exactly is making that noise.

Don't know if the engine layout is different from what it was in 2014; however, on the right side of the engine bay, while seeing it from the driver side, the AC pipes are routed. If these have come loose or have play for some reason they might vibrate.
I too had this issue along with the loose radiator shroud.

I haven't fiddled with the AC pipes, but had used a zip tie which broke off. Not trying that again. Anyway the sound is not much in my case and I just increase the volume of songs a bit. :D

As long the AC cools the way it should, I am not touching it.

The other reason could be that the bonnet height adjuster rubber bolt might need some adjustments. That too was a problem in my case which I sorted myself with a little trail and error method.
