Yes, you can put in P or N+handbrake but just remember that Ecosport's handbrake sometimes give away, have experienced myself few times.

I have a Nov 2013 model Petrol 1.5L DCT with about 50k on the odo. I faced DCT issues for first time earlier this year. Unfortunately, there is no 10 year warranty and I spent around 85k for the repairs. Everything was replaced including the clutch assembly, electronic transmission control module, all sensors etc.

The car performed well for a month but I received an error message of Transmission Failure and none of gears engaged. Had to get the car towed. They had to dismantle, refresh and re-assemble it. They could not diagnose any problems though. It was done without any charge to me.

Thankfully its working fine ever since and the car feels as smooth as when I had bought it.

So my advise is to make a mental note of possible expenses should a problem crop up. Thankfully the service centre is open, staff is committed and mechanics well trained, parts are available and repair costs are still reasonable. And since the vehicle load is limited, they have all the time to spend on the trickle of vehicles. Apparently they have a deal with Ford to keep the service centre operational till 2030.

My advice would be to go for the car but maybe negotiate down the price by 1 lakh.

Hi, I am looking to purchase a pre-owned (2nd owner) EcoSport Titanium Dec 2016 registered Petrol DCT. The car has 72000 on the Odometer and has been serviced at Ford Service Centres from the beginning. The customer owner said that he bought the car 4 years back from his friend and has faced no DCT issues till date. He also told me no repair/replacement work has been done on the DCT. Asking Price Rs 5.15 Lacs.

Having read about DCT issues on EcoSport, I wrote to Ford India enquiring about their 10 year / 2.4 Lacs km warranty on DCT gearbox, to which they told me to get in touch with the dealership.

It will be very helpful if current/ex DCT Petrol owners can share their valuable inputs on the deal.

This is the job done recently. The side armrest was also redone with leatherette finish . And white led lights in cabin instead of yellow

Car looks to be in great condition for it's mileage. This is the highest odo reading I've seen on a 1.5 tdci.

What are all the big ticket items you have replaced so far?

Pls do share some tips and tricks for maintaining this beauty.

Facing an issue with my car where a spanner symbol appears on the dash, the car jerks and turns off. Immediate attempt to start the car results in a lot of vibration but the car doesn't start. The next attempt is always successful. Also facing jerky acceleration between 1500-2500 rpm at low speeds. If i try accelerating even moderately hard it sounds like the engine is lugging.. It runs absolutely fine at higher speeds.

It seems to smoke more than normal too.
It's a 2018 Ecosport Tdci, ran over 160000 km without a single issue, needless to say, the car is extremely dear to me. Attaching the scan results from Ford ASS. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Hello TBHPians,

I own a 2018 Ford Ecosport Titanium petrol. I have had a great experience with the car so far, with no niggles at all. Recently, my car refuses to start with the message "Please press Cluth" when I attempt to start immediately after stopping. For example, the car doesn't start at a petrol bunk after refueling. It starts after 3-5 minutes after shutting down. Of course, I press the clutch while starting the car; still the message persists. I recently changed the battery, but the issue is still there. Does anyone ever come across such a situation?

Hello guys, I own a 2015 ecosport titanium. The SYNC music system just doesn't connect to my phone. Pen drive, radio and aux is working fine. I tried many times to reconnect it, but non of them were successful. It appears to be connected on my phone, but that is not the case on SYNC system. All it shows is " BLUETOOTH CONNECTION ERROR". This issue has been there for over a month now. I don't know what the reason could be, what do you guys think the reason is?

Did you try deleting the existing connection by removing the phone and pairing it again ? I have the 2014 Titanium model and got the error few times. However for me it goes way when i restart the car / sync system.

Yes, I did that too. Error pops-up again. I tried doing factory/master reset, still got the same error. Will removing the fuse and reinserting it solve this error?

Hi, did you try connecting it with another mobile? I own a 2014 Titanium, sometimes it does not connect to my iPhone. So I turn off the key fully and start the engine then it works fine.

I faced a similar issue with my 2013 Ecosport (Ecoboost) Titanium. First the Ford Sync would start showing bluetooth connection error occasionally. And then after a few months the audio system would get stuck (50% of times) at the Ford logo while switching ON the music system and even if it automatically starts playing the radio the volume would be stuck at a certain level.

So finally I connected my car to an OBD car scanner (CaRPM) and it showed this DTC (current) Code
"U0155 : Lost communication with Instrument panel cluster (IPC) control module".

After digging up some resources online I kind of figured out it was the CD/Radio Player which was making this trouble.
So I would say it is your CD player which is creating the trouble. You can either change the whole unit or repair it at less than half the cost of a new unit.

You can check out this youtube video below if you want to get it repaired. This video is actually made on my Ecosport audio repair.

My 2014 Ecosport Titanium TDCi turns 9 this year, and the Insurance renewal notice came up from Royal Sundaram. This is possibly the last year of Zero Dep insurance till the car turns 10 on 2024. IDV have decreased to a mere 30% (9.45L ex showroom). Last year it was around 3.5 but they refused to increase the IDV saying it cannot be done for Ford vehicles. Paying 13K premium for 3L IDV is definitely on the higher side. There were no accidents / claims for over 5 yrs.

My car is only one year younger than you but my present IDV is around 5.10L. So, your low IDV is definitely surprising for me. Also, I would suggest you to check out other insurers so as to get a fair view.

The main issue I face is lack of insurance companies providing zero dep policy on older cars. So most of the time left with 1-2 options & need to choose between them.

This is what an online quote from HDFC looks like without zero dep.
