Have anybody replaced the front suspension of Baleno petrol recently?. My front suspension have gone kaput at 80000 kms. Mine is 2016 December Model Petrol. Oriparts shows the part number as 41602(1/2)M68P20. Is this the updated part number after the suspension replacement provided by the company? My SA mentioned the part number ends with P20. Is he correct?

Post your query in the below thread and hopefully Leoshashi will answer it.

Hello folks,
Would be great to hear if there is a DIY fix to this door padding issue on the front left door of a 2018 Baleno.
Alternatively, if there is any recommended upholstery / workshop in Chennai West that can fix this, please let me know. Thanks in advance!! Attachment 2354755

I fixed mine with a sofa repair/ sofa upholstery guy who glued them back in. Cost me around 200 rupees for the job. Mischief managed!

Thanks to the below post, today I bought and installed sporty pedals on the Tincan. I was looking new pedal rubber inserts, but I am unable to get them in local MGP store and Maruti service centre. Thankfully, they have this and it looks nicer.

The main reason I want to change the pedals because the stock ones are now 5 years old and are slipping during rainy days. This is dangerous while braking.

Please excuse the dirty footwell area. It is raining heavily in Bangalore.
New ones are clutch and brake pedals. Accelerator is old one.

Also bought a couple of Cabin AC filter PM2.5. There are two filters available in Maruti. One is PM 10 and the other is PM 2.5. PM 10 is slightly cheaper I think and less filtration capability.

I have a 2018 Baleno CVT Alpha. It's running great, however, there is one issue which I have been noticing of late. The steering does not return to center after making left or right turns.

Maruti has already replaced the steering column once but the problem still persists. Customer care is unresponsive. Service center is washing the issue off their hands saying this problem is common with 2018 batch Balenos. What to do?

The non returning steering is a known issue with new Maruti cars. They will replace only if they notice “kat kat” noise while turning the steering. I have the 2017 model and have to live with this annoying issue. I checked this on two service centres and the replies were same.

Did you try escalating it within Maruti?

I'm thinking of doing so or maybe filing a consumer court case against them since it is a safety hazard. My car just keeps turning left and doesn't center the steering. You have to do it manually. This is not how it should be with any car, isn't it?

We have a separate thread discussing this very issue and you can find it here.

It is indeed a safety hazard. Initially I tend to over correct the steering since it does not self centre. Which made the car go zig zag after a U turn and the people behind me usually honk and think what that moron is doing. However, knowing Maruti and how they care about safety, I don't think you can find a solution. Even if Maruti agree to replace it with a new one, it will probably behave the same way. That is how the newer Maruti steering works.

We are looking for a used petrol AT car in Bangalore, and Baleno CVT is on the short-list. These are not hard to find, but actually there is many a car in the used car market.

Question is: Is there anything in the car that people are not happy with, that so many are on sale ?

A very dear friend of mine got these alloys from Baleno export model(PN: 43210M68P60-ZMQ)

Looks elegant compared to the flowery diamond cut ones IMHO.

They look so sporty and so much better than what they give to us! Why do they discriminate. Against the very people that have put them in a place where they can export cars from.

I've been toying with the idea of changing the suspension on my Baleno with the new Baleno's (2022 model). I've heard that the new model's suspension is very good.

Has anyone tried this? My trusted SA at Nexa Sarjapura road has left the service center. So, unable to check feasibility of making this change.

I'm interested in carrying out this mod as well. Anyone who has done this, please share your experience!

I was very impressed by the light output of reverse led lights(3.2 W Autobahn led) so I ordered new led bulbs for puddle lamps.Following are the steps for this simple micro DIY.
1) Insert the screwdriver on one edge of the puddle lamp housing and pry open it.

Maruti Baleno : Official Review-img_20220926_170611.jpg

2) Pull the bulb straight away.(Original puddle lamp bulbs are T10 5 W bulbs which I initially changed to 1 W osram led)

3) Insert new led bulb. The bulb lit up in both polarities (Can any expert guide me how that happened ?)

4)Push the cover/assembly back into the slot and you are done .

Enjoy the Light output .I changed only driver side led to show the difference in light.

They look nice. How did you install them? Are they screwed on the metal arm of clutch /brake?
