Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

Hello, does anyone know if they have started deliveries of N10 Optional? I called up a dealership in Pune for availability, they mentioned waiting period of 2-3 months for Rocky Beige color :(
A white one was available immediately, but I do not want a white color and it might also be the TD vehicle.

Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

I have booked one. N10 in Black.

The semiconductor shortage was indeed mentioned while promising a delivery within one month.

Though, I am prepared for the delay. I am in no hurry.

I love that Napoli black in Bolero Neo. Hope you treat us with many photographs and review once you get your hands on it.

Is it N10 or N10 Optional variant?
And why you decided to opt for N10/ (O) and not the XIV700 MX variant? Price delta is 2 Lakhs.

I am just asking the reason, and not suggesting XUV700 (in order understand whether same reasons hold good for me either).

Meanwhile, any buying experience or initial driving experience from the Bolero Neo owners?

Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

Its an N10.

I wanted a sub 4 metre car, and we already have a Harrier, so did not not look towards the 700.

Could share couple of youtube videos on this, found them to be pretty honest:

Some for off-roading, sharing youtuber link as there are many videos on MLD (fitted on N10 by Mahindra ASS), review, etc.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6S...BgNqvBrjaiQg7A

Both youtubers share frequent videos on Bolero Neo.

Hope these help...

Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

As expected, the delivery of my Bolero Neo has been delayed.

Initially, I was assured of a delivery within a month. Now they are telling me, it should take another 15 days. That too, is tentative.

Not trying to scare you, but had gone to the local dealership for an invite, casually enquired about Thar's waiting, no commitment on the Thar, the Bolero Neo was nearby, the GM stated that even this has waiting in months.

The chip shortage has really impacted the industry. Someone sold his EcoSport yesterday and wishes to get a Seltos / Creta but nothing is available in stock. In comparison, he got his Toyota Fortuner AT 4X4 in under 2 months [had sold his Ford Endeavour 3.2].

Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

News on the N10 variant:
Due to semiconductor shortage, N10 variant will be fitted with aftermarket infotainment system, it misses out on features too specially related to vehicle information and control

The N10 Optional variant it seems will get the regular company infotainment system.

Re: Mahindra Bolero Neo Review

The replacement unit for N10 variants is an ultra basic system from Kenwood. After increasing the price by 30k and deleting features, it is slowly becoming a compromise for the customers who booked one.

I spoke to one owner, Rahul, who got the Kenwood unit in his car. Unfortunate thing is, that he was not informed about it. He only got to know, when he took the delivery.

Though manufacturers do mention that features can be changed at their discretion, but when the difference comes between the time of booking and delivery, there should be some communication from the manufacturer or the dealer.

The infotainment unit is a big part of user experience and customers should be given a choice to make a decision whether they still want to go ahead with the purchase.

Another user on Twitter wrote that Cruise Control will be removed as well, but its not confirmed. My SA says no such information has been received by them yet.

Here is the video posted by the owner.
