Mahindra XUV700 Review
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-reviews/240680-mahindra-xuv700-review-759.html)
I recently bought xuv700 and got scuff plates changed to LED ones, the original ones are spare with me, I am willing to sell - they are brand new, taken off from the showroom before taking delivery. Let me know if someone wants to buy.

Hello everyone
There you can find out that the car runs on Android 9!
Android on the car leads to many possibilities like running Android apps natively on the car and even running homebrew software on it.
I am trying to get Android apps to run natively and will update if I get any success.

Hi Shaurya, Have you had any success with sideloading of apps on the XUV700 system?
Sandegov's DIY post on improving the low-beam throw of his XUV 700 has been moved to a
new thread

I am on my FOURTH battery now. Car is 3 yrs old. My car has visited multiple service centers and stayed there for months. They are unable to diagnose the issue. Apart from the battery issue I faced major issues with the keyfob not working / getting disabled randomly and the KESS / door sensor being unstable forcing you to take the remote out and pressing the button to lock / unlock the car |
Hi,
Not sure but you could get it checked for regular high parasitic draw from the battery. Found a video on YT a few days ago.
The guy neatly explained differences between modern day cars needing continous power to keep electronics alive and older ones.
Attaching a link for reference.

Hope it helps.
Folks, I need some advice on extended warranty.
Is it worth it at the current price? Which plan would you recommend, and is it better to purchase it at the time of buying the vehicle or during the first service?
Mine is an AX7 DAT
Thanks in advance for the help.

Extended warranty is absolutely mandatory if you want peace-of-mind while dealing with unforeseen niggles on the XUV. Best to opt for the same during delivery itself as the rates go up significantly post-purchase. Have myself opted for extended warranty till the 5th year.

Update on the Issues:
The car was repaired within two days and is now back on the road. According to the Service Manager, only a small portion of the boot door was painted, and the software was updated to the latest version (But On display the software version is the same) |
After the recent software update, the system has started acting unpredictably—now the Wi-Fi keeps restarting frequently. I’ve recorded a video to explain the issue clearly. It’s been over three years, and my concerns remain unresolved. I’m really unsure when Mahindra will finally be able to address this problem.
Apple Car play is not working on my MID. It shows as phased out. The Android Auto is working and connecting wirelessly too. Anything needs to be done to enable Car Play? I have got my car delivered only last week, so learning the ropes as of now.

We had this issue when we took delivery of the first batch in Dec 2021. I thought the new manufactured cars would have Carplay enabled by default. Check with the ASC regarding the requisite software update.

The technician had put oil to check the leakage and after taking test drive confirmed that cap from where you put the oil was loosely fitted. |
In my experience loosely fitting the above cap won't result in what you have experienced. As other members have pointed out it would be either a drain plug issue or an issue with the fitment of the actual filter. I had an similar issue once due to a spurious filter that I used on my VW Polo GT TDI. If the oil cap is not fitted you would lose some oil due to spatter as the timing chain splashes oil out of the opening
Has Mahindra resolved the replacement issues satisfactorily?
Drive on,
Shibu
for some reason my two month XUV700 AX7 entertainment system went blank with just displaying clock , it did not work for one week and suddenly it came up like a Phoenix bird one day, did anyone face similar issue, i have Comet and never faced any entertainment system issue for last 1.5 yrs.

It does continuous recording from the time when the engine is turned on. |
Took delivery of my XUV700 AX7L D A/T mid Jan. Havent been able to use it much as I have been travelling on work for the past 10 days. Was able to do a small 60 - 70 KM drive on Sunday, but I did not see any recordings in the 'My Video' Folder. I must call out that I havent yet installed the SD card yet. The sales advisor asked me to get it done during the 1000 KM service. Does the SD card need to be installed for auto recording? Couldnt find anything in the settings related to Auto recording. I can see the composite footage on the dash when I press the Camera button and also took a screenshot of the Rear camera when it was stationary - but cant seem to be able to delete that photo now !
Any pointers will help.

Now the question is regarding the warranty of the Turbo? The person who looks after is not available due to holidays and I will come to know once he inspects the car.
One thing which I had believed that Indian manufactures are doing great and giving tough competition to other foreign brands is all farce because without quality you are 0. The vocal for local only works when there is quality. Nobody would spend their hard money on the sentiments when you know your end product or services is a lemon. |
It's sad that due to a technician's laziness and negligence, you had to undergo this unwarranted ordeal of no mistake of yours. Maybe, we all should use the car for a few days after a service or any repair before undertaking a trip. Test and trial runs of about 100kms within our own territory seems a requirement, given the callousness of the service centers. Mahindra or Tata or Hyundai, none are perfect. Also, it's surprising to know that even Mahindra has spares short supply issue.
