Yeah Honda India has shipped around 13K units in October 23 including 3683 exports. Wondering whether they have already starting exporting ELEVATE, which is not good if true as domestic demand itself is huge for their current capacity.

Thanks all.
My hypothesis is that the root cause may not be lack of under thigh support. It feels like the angle of the foot - heel to toe.. more steep than other cars.

The angle of the lower leg makes one bend the foot at a steep angle and this does make a difference to the strain on the calf. You can test this also at home by sitting on a chair and then changing the angle at which your knee is folded (simullating your seat position - forward and backward) with the angle of the foot and then you'd see the tension that builds up when you bend your foot at a steep angle to operate the accelerator/ brake.
Hi fellow Teambhpians,
I have booked a Honda Elevate ZXCVT from Magnum Honda Bangalore.
Request if you all could assist me with the following queries :
1) Handling charges - is this a standard charge (Rs. 5,310.00) ?
2) Insurance - does one have to go with Honda assurance or can I go in for any other insurer like Acko etc. Pros and Cons please for both.
3) Doing a PDI. Has anyone noticed any problems while doing a PDI? Also do you guys suggest to get it done by a third party or DIY?
Awaiting to hear from you all!
Cheers

For #1, this seems to be standard since they transport the vehicle from the manufacturer to the dealership.
BTW, what is the waiting period at Magnum?

I first broke at Brigade Honda, Yelahanka. Initially was told 1 month and now they are unable to give me any time frame.
Found the experience with Magnum Honda much better. Another customer had some issues with loan processing and I have been told that I should get the vehicle in 2 weeks. Color : Meteoroid Grey

The exact same amount was charged to me as "Logistics charges", so must be common.

You can go with any insurer you want. I too wanted to go with Acko and as expected they tried to discourage a lot pointing things like no cashless. Even then I made up my mind to go ahead with Acko because Acko support assured me that their process will be smooth as we just have to send them the invoice and they will make the payment ahead of the service (I have also seen forum posts confirming of this fact). At the last minute, they gave me a quote from Future Generali that was about the same as Acko so I went ahead with that because I expect a better tie up between them.

I didn't do any thorough examination of the vehicle, other than looking for any signs of body damage and manufacturing date of tyres. They also provided their own PDI checklist. Though their PDI checklist didn't seem trustworthy, I didn't bother too much considering that this is newly launched and manufactured recently (no possibility of having stock piled for long durations).

Thank you so much for your reply. Does give me some clarity.
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know the cost of the R17 alloys from Honda for the elevate? Thinking of selecting the V variant and then going for the alloys and tyres.
@ The Mods: Kindly place this query in any suitable thread.
My question is regarding 2 major parameters which contribute to sensory experience of driving: riding & handling.
What is the accurate way to quantitatively measure these 2 parameters? Most reviews refer to both but with subjective assessment. There must be a 'dummies' guide to riding & handling.
While all agree Elevate is one of the segment best, how do you specifically measure it?
Look forward to hearing from the experts.
Saw a couple of comments about the driver seat's under-thigh support and angle of the foot, heel, and toe. Just thought of sharing my observations. I feel the driver's seat positioning in Elevate is really good and that the driving position is comfortable. I am 5'11". I have driven Elevate for 1000 kms and did a ~750 km single road trip. So my observations come from this context.
I have attached a few photos of the driver's leg positioning. For these photos, I have moved the seat to its full-back position and have kept the steering near the lowest position. Even then, you can observe that there is enough room for me to move my legs up and down a bit. There is enough and more room for leg movement sideways and to find a comfortable position. For the taller drivers, if they move the steering to the upper positions, I am sure they will find more room for their overall leg movement. With this positioning, my leg doesn't bump into the steering wheel at all. Please bear in mind that the floor under the pedals is inclined upwards at a gentle angle.
Right leg on the break. A case in point is the spare room for leg movement and adjustment.
Leg on the accelerator. Steering is not even in the picture, quite literally ;) and you find space all around for positioning your leg.
I have actually found the Elevate leg room for the driver and the leg positioning for acceleration to be more comfortable than that of the Jeep.
Another observation I have is about my left leg positioning. As you can see in this photo, I place it on the side of the center console. This gives me an extremely comfortable left-leg positioning. With my left leg planted on the dead pedal and the leg resting completely like this, I get a relaxed drive. The fact that this is extremely comfortable for me, makes me think that leg touching the central console may be extremely uncomfortable for some others So please check this out during your test drive.

No idea on the official ones, but saw one SV variant modified with unominda 16" alloys, looks better than official ones, listed at 8800rs per unit in Amazon.

I have clocked 1200 kms after taking delivery on October 29th. Ours is a Vx cvt variant in golden brown colour. After using for about two weeks, I have noticed some irritating things on the elevate. There is no way to manually switch off the headlamps when the auto headlamp function kicks in.The sensor is a bit aggressive, it switches on in mild overcast conditions itself. Also bit annoyed with the removal of mute button on the steering wheel. Other than that, car is flawless. There is enough grunt to overtake on the highways and cvt is buttersmooth in city.

Booked Elevate ZX MT in Pearl White by FIL at Muvattupuzha, Kerala. Waiting for 50% NCB Certificate from TataAIG (2010 Figo). Delivery promised by 25th November 2023. Pearl White ZX MT is readily available at Ring Road Honda, Guragaon. Had multiple long test drives from both the showrooms and we all are thoroughly impressed.

Congratulations! Nice to see another Beat owner switching to a Honda. We bought a Honda Amaze CVT recently and one major gripe I have with the car is the front passenger seat. It lacks under thigh support as the adjustment is limited. I remember checking out the Elevate during our evaluation and surprisingly the same issue exists in the Elevate as well. Beat's seats are way too comfortable IMO and adjusting to these Honda seats will take time.
Would love to see pictures of the car after delivery.
Regards

Congrats on your car.
Can you comment on the rear seat comfort for elderly people, such as ingress and egress? Also, how comfortable is the 2nd row (shoulder room) for 3 average adults? Thanks

Generally interested how 'long' were your test drives- distance & duration wise?. Question to others- where do you balance your desire to rigorously test vs dealerships attempt to keep TD as brief as possible |
13-15 kms (45 mins to one hour)
In Gurgaon - sector 22 roads, Flyover, Dwarka Expressway
In Jaipur - first congested roads, NH11, Tunnel, Steep roads in Aravalis.
Longest was for Taigun - 25 kms, an hour, similar as above but an hour +
I make it clear to a dealership that it would take that much time, and if they are not ok with it, i dont TD (looking at you Koncept Mahindra, asking me to come to the showroom for 'touch and feel')
