What’s the going discount on the ACC+ variant?

The offers are same as the ones given last month which is ₹50k on on-road price.
The SAs I talked were giving about ₹40k discount on insurance value of ₹1.2 lakh for Accomplished+ variant

That’s not much, I thought it’ll be higher😔. My Storme’s AC conked off and I’ve been given a quote of 1 lac to fix it! Can’t be spending that much on a 9 year old car which I was planning to replace early 2025. Looks like I’ll have to prepone my purchase.

Is there any escalation matrix or nodal officer that I can contact to get an update on my car delivery. The dealership and even the Tata TSM are utterly useless:Frustrati

Congratulations on getting your Safari in Cosmic Gold signature color.
1. Which dealership have you gone with?
2. Did the service center tell what was the cause of "spanner" light ?

1. Tejaswi Motors. The overall experience (except the free lemon tea on offer :loveit) was below par. Even the GM did not seem to cherish the prospect of interacting with a potential customer who was willing to spend close to 32+ lakhs at their outlet. You cannot have introvert personalities leading a sales organization.

2. This was due to some software glitch, that they rectified in the service centre on the morning of delivery before we arrived. The SA had no clue why this error occurred, and he did not even bother to ask the service centre personnel for a root cause. So, i never got to know.

Wonder why it is taking so long. Probably some colours are not in stock. All the best. And i can relate to how difficult this period could be.

Congratulations on your new vehicle! Did they fix the bubble? I hope you were compensated in some other way for this, if not.

Did not sound right asking for compensation, as it was more of a ultra minor manufacturing issue, that was merely cosmetic. We let it pass, as we did not want to spoil the mood.

We bought the EW - which probably is the most expensive EW In the history of EW. 40k bucks for 2 years EW, i thought was a joke. Probably TAMO's warranty pricing model assumes higher lemon-parts risk for their cars, and hence the higher price. :Frustrati

TAMO discount - 50k

Insurance amount quoted - 125k. You can expect max 50% discount on this if you push hard enough

Corporate discounts up to 10k may apply if you are associated with the right company.

Additional rebates in the form of free accessories etc. (upto 10k or so) if you make their lives miserable.

Best ploy could be to choose a dealer who service ratings are very lousy to squeeze good discounts from their sales teams.

There should be additional discounts for Ganesh Chaturthi here in Mumbai right?

That’s exactly the dealers in Mumbai are offering!:thumbs up

One of them has the ACC+ readily available. July manufacturing as per him. Anything else I need to check before taking the plunge?

Pls check if the 50k discount is applicable on July stock.

Have got quotes from two dealers in Mumbai - Trident and Puneet. Puneet has the vehicle readily available and Trident will place an order but as per him the Pune plant has stocks available and will get me the car in the next 10 days. I’m leaning towards Trident because of a better quote. Any feedback/reviews on these guys?

Finally a good news!!

The much awaited lane keep assist feature had debut on the Curvv. Hopefully not a long wait time until it comes to the harrier/safari twins.

Works well imo - Lane Keep Assist in action!!

Do they support BH series registration for private company employees?

Drove my father-in-law's Safari facelift model during vacation in Bangalore in the last couple of weeks. Overall, a very positive impression with only a couple of negatives to mention. Insulation of the engine compartment could have been better to offer improved refinement and reduced NVH levels + the shift-by-wire system makes it difficult to switch from D to R and vice-versa when trying to take U-turns in tight spaces and crowded roads.

The ride was impressive, as even the lunar craters that pass for Bangalore roads didn't necessarily reduce the lifespan of my spinal cord functioning in a normal manner !

They do but in Maharashtra the rules for getting BH registration are plain weird! Very difficult to get one.

My budget is limited to ₹23-₹24 lakh ex-showroom and I cannot go above this limit. Adventure+A and Accomplished manual are coming within this range. Accomplished variant does not get ADAS but gets ventilated seats which would be good for leather seats.
Passive ADAS features like rear collision warnings, door open warning, forward collision warning and blind spot monitor would be handy in day to day driving especially with manual and longer vehicle like Safari.
My current car does not have any ADAS features and is same length as Safari. I have got accustomed to the car length and feel comfortable to drive just using ORVM+IRVM for driving, so I may not miss lot on ADAS if I go with Accomplished variant.

I have driven Harrier manual and the engine felt responsive in Sports and City mode.
Can someone who has driven or owned Safari manual help with below questions I have due to extended length and additional weight
  1. How responsive is Safari manual transmission?
  2. Can I push the car up to 20 kmph in 1st gear in bumper-to-bumper traffic to avoid changing gears between 1st and 2nd?
  3. How comfortable are leather seats on Adventure+ variants without ventilated seats?
  4. Do leather seats result in excessive sweaty back in humid and hot weather?
