Tata's cars are always a hit and a miss. This stops me from upgrading my Nexon to a Harrier. I had recently visited the showroom (Garve Tata) in Baner. At first no one took notice of us for 15-20 minutes. Every salesperson was busy on their phone or chatting to someone. I had to make some noise before someone attended to me half-heartedly. They pointed to the Harrier parked which was a demo piece. Wasn't clean outside or inside. Looking at the product I could see that this car would not age well. When asked for a test drive they took all the details. When I sat in the car another guy came running saying there is no diesel in the vehicle. That's it. They said sorry test drive is not possible. Considering the attitude I have totally dropped the idea of upgrading and wasting money on a Tata. I will probably book an XUV as the Mahindra team was super responsive. Car was clean and I was given a 20 km test drive. Unless one stops purchasing Tata cars they will not learn |

4. Even after the s/w update the radio reception was still bad so the technician mentioned that all of the tail-lights would need to be replaced so some TD needs to be raised. (Someone else also mentioned on the forum that this was done to their vehicle also so I too agreed). They raised TD as the part had to be obtained from the plant as they are vehicle specific. Post-Service issue – 1 I came back home, parked the vehicle and then didn’t use it for next 2 days. 3rd day when I took it out I saw a big oil mark on the garage floor. I bent down to see and touched under the vehicle belly with my hand and it was all oil (the place where oil filter was kept). Scared, I ran to the service center to get it checked as I was about to go on a 1500kms trip to my home town during Christmas break. The service center put the vehicle on the lift. Opened the under cover and checked. As per them there was no oil leakage from the filter, or the place from where oil is taken out for discharge. They cleaned it with dry cloth. As per them reasoning – when they took the oil during servicing some of it goes and gets stuck near the wheel and that’s from where it keeps dripping for some days to follow. For me those some days were good 10 days as every day I was seeing some spot on the garage. Tail Light Change Update – Got a call from service center that the replacement part has arrived and come after taking an appointment. So went there last Saturday. Again, waited for full time during the replacement. Took 5hrs (1hr lunch time 😊). They replaced all the 3 lights on the tail and voila the radio is working way-way better now !!! Don’t know how come taillight is linked to radio signal (may be Tata added 1 more receiver in the modified tail light for better reception). |

Is this a solution recommended by your service advisor for poor radio reception? The service center i go to vehemently denied that this could be an issue with rear lighting. So, i am not sure how to proceed with this as the knowledge doesnt seem to be commonly shared by all service partners. |

Yes, the service center technician mentioned that he has been told to try to replace the rear tail-lamp lights for improving the radio reception. So he took the request to order the new set of lights. Rather, after my fix, he is also suggesting other owners to do the same :) with more confidence !!! One more issue I am facing is with AndroidAuto after the s/w upgrade - it is not able to judge properly day-vs-night so the map during the day also sometimes goes in dark-mode, and in the night it comes in light-mode. Question - Does anybody knows how to control going-up/down ONLY the favorites radio channel using the steering wheel control. when I click it up/down - it goes to scan mode so it picks up radio stations which i dont want to listen to, and not saved in the favorites. In my Hyundai it only shuffles between the favorites so a much more pleasing listening experience. <sorry for the showoff as radio has started working now :uncontrol> |

this was helpful. Also you mentioned about the Tata logo missing when the headlights were fit again. Do you have a pic of what was actually missing. I didn't exactly pick what you said. |

Hi, I purchased my Harrier from Dev Motors on Symbiosis College Road in April 2024. Since then, I have completed three services with them, and my experience has been excellent—both during the purchase process and with their service quality. I highly recommend giving them a try! Cheers. |

The car refused to get into ACC mode a few times with the message "Adaptive Cruise Control conditions not met". Quite a few times the ACC would get disconnected with a message around "camera/radar blockage" and the ACC symbol would go orange from green ! |

Is there something on your windshield that is blocking the radar at some angles? Please check where your Fastag was applied on your windshield. It could be the reason. We faced this when we sent out driver to get a Fastag for our Safari from a roadside vendor, who applied it on the WS blocking the radar. We had a to procure a new FT few days later, when we frequently saw the "ACC conditions not met" alert. Never experienced it after the FT was relocated. |

I have a 2023 pre facelift that came with the same infotainment system that is now shipped today. The day night theme on map is influenced by auto headlamp sensor. Whenever I pass an underpass during the day, this happens with me |
